good quality but the 6x6' has a seam

good quality. using the 6x6' grid cloth 1/2 stop diffusion version to drape over a cstand. there is a seam but for my use case, the seam is early in the fabric, maybe 6inches in, so i jus tuck that portion behind the c stand arm. packs away easily. seems durable for indoors

I had the thinner one. This is better when sun is bright Durable, great diffuser

Is there a material like this that is seamless, 2stop, and has grommets instead of being frame mounted, to tie it off.

No, the Westcott Scrim Jim Cine 1/2-Stop Grid Cloth Diffuser Fabric (4 x 4') is not compatible with the original Scrim Jim.

The frame has velcro along its edges that stick to velcro along the edges of the diffuser. it is very secure.

Grid cloth diffuses the light while making it more directional versus standard diffusion which simply spreads the light as needed.
