The Sliding Arm Support with Hand Grip from Impact fits the Impact LSP-SCS Column Stand, as well as most column stands with a 1.4-inch diameter. It features a spring-loaded pistol grip handle for easy height adjustment and the strength to hold fixtures weighing up to 17.6 pounds. It has solid gripping power that won't slip under the weight of a light fixture. The included 5/8" reversible baby pin stud provides the option to mount fixtures with 5/8" receivers either above or below the arm. The stud's 1/4"-20 tip allows the use of standard accessories like ball heads, LED lights, or microphones that can turn your column stand into a complete camera or lighting rig.

Impact Sliding Arm Reviews
So much easier than twist locks
Incredible upgrade to traditional C-stands. Obviously it's part of a system—you need a pole for it—but that system is SO much easier to manage than traditional knobs and locks. Adjusting height is faster, easier, and way less strenuous, even one-handed, EVEN with heavy strobes and modifiers (primarily AD600 Pro II with MagMod strip box). For everyday use, it's a big quality of life improvement, but if you have an impaired arm (or like me as I write this, you're recovering from shoulder surgery), it's a game-changer. Would be five stars, but I noticed when I wiggle it on the pole, it has a tendency to slide down a little. Stays perfectly in place if it's not touched (hasn't moved in a week), but bumping into it might require re-setting it. I tried adjusting the bolts but they're already as tight as they get.
Excellent
Excellent, does what it should do.
