The 45° angled-viewing TrailSeeker 65 16-48x65 Spotting Scope by Celestron features a versatile 16-48x zoom eyepiece to provide views from generous vistas at the lower power to tight, detailed images at the higher end. Proprietary anti-reflection XLT fully multi-coated optics allow for efficient light transmission through the optical path for crisp, high-contrast views. Dual focus offers precise image control by allowing a preliminary coarse focus, which you can then refine using the fine-focus control for a tack-sharp view.

The angled eyepiece permits comfortable glassing whether standing, sitting or lying flat on the ground. You can rotate the scope in its tripod collar a full 360° to put the eyepiece in the best position. The tripod foot has one 1/4"-20 threaded brass hole with two inset holes (front/rear) for attaching to a tripod. The TrailSeeker 65 has a nitrogen-filled waterproof housing that won't fog up in humid conditions and features a sliding sunshade to keep glare or raindrops off the objective lens. To facilitate digiscoping, a T-adapter is included so you can mount a T-ring compatible with your DSLR to the eyepiece. For adverse weather conditions, a stay-on carrying case is included, which can be left on the scope during use—zippers fore and aft open for the objective lens and the eyepiece. The TrailSeeker is designed to use standard 1.25" astronomical eyepieces, so in addition to the included zoom eyepiece, you can use other eyepieces on your spotting scope to achieve higher magnifications, wider field of views, etc.

Celestron TrailSeeker 16-48x65 Reviews

Good value

I purchased this scope for checking targets at 50 to 100 yards. I suspect it would perform well at greater distances but have yet to test it beyond 100 meters. It performs very well for my intended purpose. The price was very good. The performance is also very good.

Very happy, would recommend.

This scope has been great. It's the first scope I've had and covers all of the bases. I've not yet tried it for digiscoping but hope to shortly. It's got a rugged feel/construction so I don't worry about it. The rotating tripod collar is great. Why don't all scopes offer that? I like that you don't have to remove the cover to use it.

This scope is excellent for birding as well as other activities. It is easy to adjust and use and comes with convenient carrying case that allows for use even when on protecting the scope and mounted on tripod.

Good scope for the money!e

I have taken it out twice on tidal flats and once in the mountains to birdwatch. It performed how I thought it would- fantastic at the lower-medium powers but not quite as clear at the higher powers. That being said, I can identify some shorebirds that I could not with good quality binoculars. I like the case with its zippered openings that will allow me to use it in cold Alaska conditions. Overall, I am very happy with this scope!

Great scope and amazing price

For this price I have no complaints. The magnification allows me to see wildlife at distances I never would have thought possible. I've been happily using it for birdwatching, and hope to take it to Yellowstone in the fall and use it for some wolves. Images are amazingly clear.

Heavier than expected

The scope is great for bird watching. I had hoped to be able to take it in my kayak, but it’s a bit to heavy and bulky. I love the clear viewing and zoom.

A great product at a very reasonable price.

After identifying the magnification range I wanted - about 16X for finding a target to more than 36X for detail (my previous scope's max.), I selected the Celestron TrailSeeker 65 based on price and reviews. It fulfills my nature-viewing interests. The optics provide a clear view, even at 48X, and focusing is easy and precise - a great replacement for my 25-year-old18X-36X scope, which was horrible at 36X.

Love this scope!

We love this easy to use scope; fantastic product with the same quality we expect in Celestron products. Scope is easy to adjust with clear views. This scope is significantly less expensive than similar scopes on the market.

Will this accept a Celestron T-ring for my Cannon Rebel?

After you attach the included T-Adapter step ring to the eyepiece, thread your Canon T-Ring onto the T-adapter step ring for DSLR photography.
