Actiontec Moca 2.0 reviews

Bonded MoCA 2.0 Network Adapter is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 100% Compatible with Verizon Fios Easy setup, plug it in, and it works. Note that with Fios, you don't need a pair. You already have a MoCA network, and only need the adapter at the end points. In terms of speed, I get over 200Mbps without an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT FOR ROKU PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT! I bought this Adapter to improve the download speed of my ROKU Streaming Player.I have Comcast Service and had been using the WiFi connection on the ROKU. There were times when the streaming was sluggish. I thought I would have to run an Ethernet cable from my Gateway 3(DPC3941T) to the ROKU's location near the main TV. Then I discovered the MOCA Technology Solution. Since the DPC3941T Gateway has MOCA capability, I did NOT have to purchase a second adapter to connect to this Modem/Router(The older equipment generally does NOT have the MOCA Feature ... so you would need to have a MOCA Adapter there). So I only needed one Adapter to connect to the ROKU Player. Here's how I connected it. I removed the input Coax from the Comcast DVR(X1)and inserted it into the Actiontec's Coax in Port. I then connected a small Coax Cable from the Actiontec's TV/STB Out Port to the Comcast DVR Cable In Port. Next I connected an Ethernet Cable from the ActionTec's Ethernet Port to the ROKU's Ethernet Port. Before plugging in the power to the ActionTec Adapter, I enabled 'MOCA on the Gateway 3 settings. The last step was to Plug in the Adapter.I knew in advance that the speed would be higher because I ran a test at a busy time of the day. Using speedtest.net, I used a Mini PC to record my WiFi Speed, the Ethernet connection and the speed provided by the ActionTec Adapter. The results: WiFi: Download,19.47 Mbps/ Upload,9.94 Mbps ActionTec: Download,70.76 Mbps/ Upload,12.10 Mbps Ethernet: Download,90.06 Mbps/ Upload,12.17 MbpsThe download speed using the ActionTec Adapter was nearly quadrupled! When I turned on the ROKU and changed the settings from Wireless to Wired connection, I noticed a significant improvement in viewing performance. So now I am achieving about 80% of the Ethernet Cable Download Speed on my ROKU and I DIDN'T HAVE TO RUN AN ETHERNET CABLE!I am delighted with the results and the ROKU's enhanced performance. I will run the setup for a few months. If the positive results are maintained, I will purchase more ActionTec Adapters for my other Smart TV connections. So far so good ... no negatives! Looks like I made a great purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MoCA 2.0 makes WiFi AC seem slow I use my in home MoCA network, driven by Actiontec Bonded MoCA 2.0 adapters, to connect my TiVOs to my router. Streaming between TiVO boxes, and streaming from Netflix and other providers is excellent ... no buffering. My only use for home WiFi is to connect my cell phone to my home network ... and slow wireless N is good enough for that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great product I have an existing pair of the MoCA v1.1 adapters and I bought one of these to expand my network into another room. As stated the Moca v2.0 is backward compatible with v1.1 and worked like a charm. I plan to work these in gradually over time to replace my v1.1 devices but currently no immediate justification to replace them with the current prices which is why I docked a star. The prices everywhere on the MoCA devices are insane, even the v1.1 units.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome...fixed my issue wth this baby I got rid of my FIOS router and needed something that would give ethernet connectivity to my Set top box for the program guide. I picked this up and it worked beautifully. Simply connected the coax to it and an ethernet connection from my switch. Set top box has connectivity and program guide works. As always, B&H customer service was top notch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for running fast Ethernet over home coax! Great for leveraging home coax / cable TV network to run high speed ethernet - much faster / better than Ethernet over powerline. Easy and simple to install, and TV / cable is totally unaffected. Only reason it does't get 5 stars is price: the little boxes are pretty expensive.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Beautifully I replaced my FIOS router with my own but needed something to make the FIOS Channel guide working with my set top box. I connected one of these and it worked beautifully. Couldn't ask for a simpler solution. As usual, B&H shopping experience was above and beyond.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delivered as advertised Replaced an older MoCA and increased the bandwidth from ~ 40 mbps downstream to > 130 Mbps. In my setup, the cable line is not connected to the rest of the house's cable network, but rather is point to point between two MoCA devices.
