Yongnuo YN-622C II overview

  • 1Description

Trigger flashes wirelessly with this 2-pack of YN-622C II E-TTL Wireless Flash Transceivers from Yongnuo. Compatible with Canon E-TTL / E-TTL II cameras and with added support for 622 and 560-RX communication protocols this set will function well with many flash units. For usage, one transceiver slides directly into the hot shoe and utilizes a 2.4 GHz frequency with a range of 328' to trigger the remote flashes mounted on the other transceiver. A variety of features have been added in the model, including support for group ratios and multi flash. The transceivers also have a hot shoe and PC sync port available for mounting a flash unit or connecting to a strobe. When connected to a strobe via the PC sync port, a Super Sync function will allow photographers to achieve a faster sync speed than normally possible with their camera. Additionally, there are both TTL and manual flash modes available for full creative control. And, it can utilize 7 channels and 3 groups for setting up multiple flash units easily and efficiently.

The YN-622C utilizes a series of LEDs to display settings and allow users to make adjustments. On the device is also an AF assist beam to help in low-light conditions. Multiple sync modes are available for more specific needs or effects, including 1st 2nd curtain sync. A high speed sync mode is available and will help in bright lighting conditions and for stopping motion with a maximum speed of 1/8000 second. Additionally, the transceivers run on 2 AA batteries each.

    Yongnuo YN-622C II reviews

YN-622C II E-TTL Wireless Flash Transceiver for Canon (2-Pack) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 77.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and inexpensive Couple this with the transmitter and you can control your flash from your camera even if the flash is across the room. Three channels for control and flexibility means you can do a full room lighting setup and not leave your camera position to adjust light output or even turn off a set of flashes from your transmitter. The included photo was taken with this transceiver with a Canon 7D and Canon 430 Ex using a FlashBender panel. Yes, this is something I would recommend to friends who are looking for remote triggering of their flashes. Get rid of the wires. Avoid the high cost of other units, this works very well with my Canon 7D and Canon 430 Ex flash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YN-622C II work perfectly with Canon 580EXII and 430EX II I use the YN-622CII triggers with my canon 580EXII and 430EXII flashes. They work perfectly! I use them in conjunction with the YN 622 TX wireless controller as well and the controller is excellent. Much easier to use than scrolling through the Canon EOS flash menus (I use the 5D MK II). This equipment is very well built, uses AA batteries and work great. Note that the user manuals are poorly written and often nondescript. You will need to find your way simply by playing around with the triggers but really they are simple to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value Purchased along with the YN-622C-TX Flash Controller and seems to be a very powerful combination at a reasonable price. I had been using the Canon flashes with their built in triggers but would run into problems using them outside or at any distance over about ten feet. I used these this weekend for a couple hour outdoor shoot and had no problems at all. I didn't use all of the functionality available but they seem to be very powerful units. The instructions that come with them are very difficult to understand but luckily there are several videos demonstrating their use out on youtube and they are fairly intuitive to figure out. Happy with my purchase so far.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for professionals, but good for amateurs They work 90% of the time. Sometimes they fire, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they freeze up. Sometimes they switch to TTL for some reason. At times they don't work past 30 feet with new batteries, Other times they work for days at 80 feet+. If you need a trigger which you can rely on- this is not one of them. If you need a trigger to play off camera flash - it may be a good buy. I own 6 of them...used them since the month they came out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only tried it once, does not support high speed sync ok, if you only have one flash, I later purchased the: Wireless Speedlite Transmitter for Canon, which costs a little bit more, but supports high speed sync, can control may flashes and groups can set the flashes from the master unite on the camera. I would spend a little more now and get the Wireless Speedlite Transmitter for Canon, even if you only have one flash

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are great I've only had these YN transceivers for a month or so now, but I am really happy with them. Straight out of the box, they're easy to set up and once you understand the settings, they're awesome. Where the build quality is concerned, they are quite light/hollow, but they seem fine otherwise and as far as functionality, so far so good. I also purchased the Yongnuo Yn-622c-Tx E-Ttl Wireless Flash Controller and it pairs so beautifully with these. I really wanted these so I could dive into the world of high speed sync (my old PW triggers weren't capable of this), and they make it so easy. I love 'em.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Wireless Transceivers These transceivers work great with the YN-622C Transmitter on my Canon 600 EX II RT flash, and a Canon 580 EX flash. Just got them and they had good instructions for setting them up, and it didn't take long before I got some good images using them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Triggers for the Money! I use the YONGNUO 622C II Wireless Flash Tranceivers professionally with the YONGNUO 586 EX II Speedlites and the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV camera with truly remarkable results. The Transceivers are rugged and dependable and the feature sets offer the professional a huge value for money. Solid all around performance and reliability!
