    Ubiquiti Networks UniFi UAP-AC-PRO reviews

UAP-AC-PRO UniFi Access Point Enterprise Wi-Fi System is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 89.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up, great throughput and look good too... I have 2 of these for my house, a little overkill but :) they are great, I installed the controller on my Mac Mini (used as a home media server) plugged them into my POE switch, they were seen by the controller, I adopted them, told me there was an update for them, I created the WIFI network I wanted and there you go. Been using them for about a week with our phones, laptops and smart TV streaming netflix, not had a single issue, looking at the stats devices seem to be handing off between units without issue (phones and laptops as we move about the house). There are a ton of more advanced features that I am not using yet, but may get to

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job and more Works better than my previous AC ap. Coverage is great, though, you will have to reconfigure it if you wish to stay on AC. By default it will drop to n at a certain signal strength. Numerous options to configure using their controller software. The combined use of their UniFi Security Gateway enables other features. Most of these the home user won't need, so no big deal. I like that it'll give you a list of Neighboring APs; there are a lot in my area... My only real complaint is, in order to access the configuration, you must have the controller software running. Most people won't want to access it on a regular basis. Would love to have a 2nd one, but that'll have to wait.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from def a step up from my old D-Link normal wifi router! So far has been a few weeks, it's been great so far! Immediately saw drastic increase for some wifi devices. Our Samsung TV that was pretty close to the D-Link 802.11n had horrible connection, but with this new Ubiquiti device, it just works perfectly. The new tech must really make a difference. Other great things are the entire Ubiquiti solution we bought is working flawlessly when put all together. We have it all connected: the gateway router + 8 port managed switch + ACPRO + ACMESH + cloud key. It's just amazing really with the seamless hop / hop-back between the access points, and the reporting features and iPhone app are also very cool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Promise delivered! Ubiquiti Networks UAP-AC-PRO is working at its best. I have installed two of the (1 each / floor) and is working absolutely without any glitches. First time ever I was able to achieve full DL speed provided by my ISP on 5Ghz spectrum. Adjust the radio power according to your specific needs and it will works like a charm. I have combined these units withUbiquiti Networks UniFi Managed PoE+ Gigabit 8 Port Switch with SFP (150 W) so that a single network cable will serve the purpose of data and power. Haven't used included PoE injector. I would highly recommend this product if someone is looking for reliable wireless connection for their home or office.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from if you need wifi you must get this AP great range-three levels over coverage in 3900 sq ft home. clean and simple looking device. POE makes for one less wire/plug going to the AP. the LED can be disabled. my only concern on my Sept 2016 order is B&H shipped me the 1st gen model released sept 2015 and not the current 2nd gen model. B&H is a great store and i know they move the merchandise quickly given their superior service and low prices so i was disappointed to have not received the most current model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of Features For Little Money I was looking for an affordable solution for my 3700 sq/ft two story home. I wanted to get low profile out of the way AP that would not stick out. The UniFi AC Pro is very thin about as thick as a standard smoke detector and not much wider. Blends in with the ceiling beautifully. I was blown away by the web interface. This UniFi comes with everything that you would find in small to medium size business install. It was half the price of another solution I was considering. I've only had it running for week now but I'm very impressed so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely Solid AP I purchased 2 of these UAP's to replace previous Unifi access points that were not AC Speed. I have not been disappointed. These AP's are Extremely stable and also very fast. The Unifi controller seamlessly adopted these AC AP's into my already mixed environment and they were up and running in moments. Roaming from AP to AP is not even noticeable for the applications I am using. I will be purchasing more of these AP's, Unifi makes very solid products and fair pricing, and the huge advantage is no annual fee for using this hardware. Next I will be trying out some of the new Mesh outdoor AP's that were just released.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Wifi Gear from Ubiquiti Pros: Incredible range and sensitivity on both the 2.4 and 5ghz bands. Also has the (superior, imo) Atheros chipset onboard, supports true PoE, and gigabit speed ports. Does what it says on the box and looks really nice in operation too. Speeds are phenomenal and noise rejection is impressive considering the jam packed ISM bands in my area. Cons: The controller software is a bit of a pain. I installed it on a very limited space low voltage Linux box, and it chewed up almost all of the available disk because of its insistence on preallocating journal files for MongoDB. Seriously, a big data NoSQL database for a wifi/network controller? However, if you put on a box with plenty of space, this won't be a problem. They do have a smartphone app that you can use instead of ever setting up the controller, but once you adopt in it into the official controller, the app loses the ability to manage it, even with controller mode enabled. I'm sure they'll fix this on a later release. Of course, the controller software is really slick, so if you've got a spare (or main) machine that you leave on all the time, it's worth the effort to set it up. Overall: The AP's performance, features, and aesthetics are all top notch. I would absolutely recommend this to anybody who wants a totally awesome wifi setup that blows consumer grade gear out of the water, as long as they don't mind getting their hands a little dirty setting it up.
