Polsen RC-77-U Overview

The RC-77-U USB Retro Condenser Microphone from Polsen is a large-diaphragm, cardioid USB microphone with a stylish eye-catching retro look that features a headphone output, a mute button, and has LED indicators to monitor the microphone's status. It can be used by singers, songwriters, and podcasters to capture high-quality audio directly to a Mac or Windows computer.

With a built-in USB port, the microphone needs no drivers, power supply, or audio interface to begin recording. Launch your DAW software, plug in the microphone, and you're ready to record. An integrated dual-stage grille minimizes pops and vocal plosives while protecting the capsule from corrosive moisture, and the cardioid polar pattern focuses the source in front of the mic to minimize off-axis sound, which is excellent for recording vocals.

Is anyone successfully using this mic along side a USB MIDI controller with GarageBand and the like?
Asked by: Jamie
The mic works fine, it’s the MIDI controller that’s not being seen anymore. Perhaps it’s because they’re connected to the same usb hub.

question

What software do I need to record audio using the Polsen mic? And where do I get it??
Asked by: Margo
The Polsen mic when connected to a computer will operate with most audio recording/editing software. Currently Sony Sound Forge Audio Studio 10 for PC is being offered. Audacity is a popular free program available for both Mac and PC. http://www.audacityteam.org/download/
