Custom Brackets CB DIGITAL-S Overview

The CB Digital-S Rotating Flash Bracket from Custom-Brackets is an easy-to-use bracket that features a 180° pivoting flash arm that keeps the flash centered above the lens in both horizontal and vertical shooting positions.

Slightly smaller than the Digital-T model, the Digital-S is designed for smaller cameras that do not have a vertical grip. The bracket is built from black anodized aluminum, with two 1/4"-20 posts to mount a camera and a hot or cold shoe, as well as a 1/4"-20 thread to mount the entire system onto a tripod. The camera can be mounted with the comfortable foam grip on either the right or left side.

Black Anodized Aluminum Construction
Machined from black anodized aluminum, this bracket offers added strength and versatility with its lightweight materials and black finish.
Versatile Pivoting Arm
The pivoting arm has spring-loaded tension, a maximum 180° of rotation, and a 1/4"-20 post to mount a hot or cold shoe. It also has two adjustable clips to keep the flash cord from rotating on the bracket.
Maintenance- & Lubrication-Free Design
Designed to be easy-to-use and maintenance-free, you won't need to oil or lubricant.
1/4"-20 Screws and Tripod Mount
Two 1/4"-20 threaded D-ring screws allow easy attachment of your camera and a hot or cold shoe for your flash. A female 1/4"-20 thread on the bottom of the bracket lets you attach the bracket to a tripod, monopod, or other support. Two additional female 1/4"-20 threaded holes on the pivoting arm are available for attaching optional accessories, and two mounting holes on the base plate enable attachment of the optional Custom Brackets AT anti-twist bar.
Lens-To-Flash Distance: 11"
The bracket's nominal lens-to-flash distance is 11" (30 cm).

This is the second Custom Brackets product I've purchased. They make great, solid, products. It's a little bulky, but for the price, you can't beat it.

I am using this bracket with my Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III camera and FL-900R flash. The camera anti-twist posts are not a good fit for the camera. One of the posts rests against the lens. Don't understand the design decision that the camera anti-twist posts adjust with an Allen key but the flash anti-twist adjusts with a Philips screwdriver. Why the inconsistency? For user efficiency, they should both adjust the same way. I really wanted the CB Folding-SA Bracket but no one has it in stock and the company was moving from Ohio to Florida and kept delaying the availability.

How can the small and tall versions of this bracket both have a lens to flash distance of 11 inches? What are the actual heights of the vertical legs of the two brackets?
Asked by: Thomas
According to Custom Brackets, both models do have a nominal lens-to-flash distance of 11". The Tall model is mainly for cameras with a battery grip while the Small model only accepts cameras without a battery grip.

I really dont know. The unit is designed to mount on the camera. It has pins on the mounting plate to prevent the unit from rotating. (You can see them in the illustration).
