  • 1Description

Extend the reach of your XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR and XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lenses with the XF 1.4x TC WR Teleconverter from FUJIFILM. The X mount converter magnifies the image by 1.4x and retains full communication between the lens and body, enabling metering, autofocus, and image stabilization as well as the transmission of EXIF data. Additionally, the teleconverter is designed to maintain the weather resistance of the entire FUJIFILM system with a sealed construction that reduces the chances of dust, water, or even the cold from affecting performance.

  • 1.4x teleconverter extends the reach of select X-mount lenses by 40% with only a one-stop loss in exposure.
  • Advanced design maintains the original quality of lenses as well as fully supports exposure metering and image stabilization capabilities.
  • Weather-resistant design for use in adverse conditions and temperatures as low as 14°F.

    FUJIFILM 16481892 Reviews

XF 1.4x TC WR Teleconverter is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well with the 50-140 zoom So here is a Fuji 1.4x teleconverter that works with exactly one current lens -- the Fuji 50-140 f/2.8 zoom. To use this TC, one must first update the firmware in the camera, then update the firmware in the 50-140 lens (must be done in that order). So how does it work once all this is done? Very well -- the final images are sharp, the focus is still relatively quick with an X-T1 body, and the camera shows the correct aperture. Final images are better than my Fuji 55-200 lens, and it's a little faster at the long end (f/4 vs f/4.8). If you are a pro who needs the extra reach and a fixed aperture zoom, this will help. I'll certainly get use out of it on a weekly basis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Investment I've paired the XF 1.4x TC WR Teleconverter with theFujifilmXF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR and the results have been stunning. Little to no degradation in image quality once the teleconverter is added in, and the bump in magnification is impressive. You'll lose one stop, but the lens otherwise functions to its original spec. The XF 1.4x is surprisingly heavy. It must be solid metal and glass. It's a pricey little bobble, but if you are looking to give your 100-400 a big boost in power this is a great solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Started with the 2x dialed back to the 1.4x - very pleased I used this in Scotland with my 100-400mm + X-Pro 2 and got fantastic compression results like the attached photo. I should be clear - I'm not a birder in any way shape or form. I just like judicious use of hyper compressed flattening-the-background perspective. I used the combo maybe 10% of my shots...but the ones I did definitely show it in a good way. I originally started with the 2x, but I wasn't happy not having the phase detection - B&H cheerfully exchanged for the 1.4x and this Teleconverter maintains all communication with the camera.... I can say that other than the slight softening on the 400mm end (which is a function of the lens and not the tele) and the 1 stop drop, the 1.4x might as well be built into the lens - it's awesome. Wish I had this combo when I was on Safari in 2015, but them's the breaks. The other minus - dang, that's an expensive teleconverter, Fuji. But I guess that's true of all their superior optics :) No regrets. Go forth and shoot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Performs as advertised Extends the reach of my 55-140 at the cost of one f stop. Lets me get close ups and detail I could not reach before. Easily attaches and disattaches. Auto focus not affected. Image stabilization still works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job Bought this specifically for the eclipse. Works great paired with the Fuji 100-400mm. For sun and moon photos the 1.4x seems to be plenty good, and I'm content with my choice of the 1.4x over the 2x.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Addition to My FujiFilm collection Really do enjoy this teleconverter. The pictures with the teleconverter and the 50-140mm are incredibly sharp.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Makes the 50-140 mm usable I've had the 50-140mm lens for close to a year now and have rarely used it. It's been scarcely in my bag because I couldn't find a specific use for it. At that focus range, you'd think it would be good for portraits - not so. But it's also not long enough for many other uses. Bring on the 1.4x teleconverter. Suddenly, the images from the lens are more pleasing and the range is improved. Even at f4, it gives nicer bokeh than the f2.8 w/o the converter. I find it in my bag constantly now. The reason for the 3 star rating, is the ridiculous price. For me, the 50-140mm should come with the teleconverter at the price they charge for the lens. To make the 50-140mm functional for me, I had to spend $2k. That's a ridiculous amount of money for a non-Leica lens.

Has anyone tried the xf 1.4 TC converter with the xf 16-55 2.8?

Unfortunately, I don't have the xf 16-55 2.8 lens. I bought the converter to use with my 100-400 zoom lens.
