It does what it's supposed to

Honestly, if I could afford the Metabones adapter I'd have gotten that one. This one for its price point is dead on. It's softer around the edges than the Metabones adapter but that doesn't bother me at all. It's not so soft that people will notice unless you tell them. So for the price and performance... A

I am not a pro, and i love vintage lenses. If you have a similar use-case, i highly recommend this as the extra fov and stop of light are great. Compared to metabones: 1. This has no electronics, ergo, no autofocus. 2. Its like $100. It wont have the same image quality or quality control. That said, im extremely satisfied with my purchase, and the money i saved compared to the metabones option

A lot left to be desired.

Because its not an active lens adapter, you will have a hard time adjusting a lens that requires it. I cant adjust the aperture on my Sigma 17-50 2.8 so Im stuck with whatever it was set to on my previous camera. If you have a lot of EF glass, consider opting for the Meta bones or something similar. Im using it on my BMPCC4K. The mount fits firmly and appears to be built well, however.

This adapter/ booster has expanded lens options for my GH4. I have some native lenses but when traveling with my GF I can share her EF lenses and pack light. Sometimes I just want 300mm of reach at F4 in a $200 lens. It`s solidly built and a big step up from the mark I adapter. No play in the attachments. There is some vignetting so frame wisely and crop it out later. I just got some vintage FD lenses and will buy another MZ fir that setup as well. The four star rating is for the indecisive release button. Make sure there`s a click. Never had a problem.

Casts a nasty haze over the whole image

When light comes in contact with this adapter there is a nasty haze that comes over the whole image. Making it pretty much useless. Someone else said that the mark 2 has better coatings and does do it but I have the mark 2 and it still casts a horrible haze.

Nice Solid Piece of Equipment

I purchased this solely because I needed something to mount my Canon glass to my Panasonic Lumix GH4 and could not afford a Metabones Speedbooster. This product has solid construction and mounts securely to both lens and camera body with no noticeable play. This adapter marks my conversion from APS-C to Micro Four Thirds and I was concerned a bit about the increase in image crop factor. After installing this turbo adapter, the image crop in the MFT is less significant than the APS-C. As a matter of fact, I actually found myself vignetting at times - this could have been with the 18-55 Canon EF-S kit lens. However, I have yet to successfully observe for any significant reduction in overall image quality due to the adapter itself. I'm slightly hesitant on the number of stars to rate this product. I would give 4 and a half stars, with the deduction being due to the lack of information in the description regarding the fact that the adapter does not support STM lenses; which means I can't manually (or auto, for that matter) focus my Canon Nifty Fifty (50mm / 1.8 STM) with this product installed. An inconvenient trick I picked up is to set your manual focus with a different camera and swap camera bodies - keeping the lens still - then the lens will be focused on the area of interest. Overall, I am mostly satisfied with this product. This is my first Mitakon Zhongyi purchase and I was concerned about the build quality and functionality; not anymore as this is a solid build. I am now open to try new products from this company. I will force the turbo adapter to do my deeds until I can upgrade to the Metabones Speedbooster - my initial intention behind the purchase of this product.

question

Will the Rokinon 12mm ef-m mount cine lens fit on this adapter?
Asked by: Anonymous
The lens works with Canon EF mount lenses. Lenses that work on the 5d M2 and m3 and canon 7D. The rokinon canon ef mount lens will fit tight and snug, No play. And it makes the lenses fast and is worth the price, and reduces the focal length. Use another cheap adapter and you have 2 focal lengths or 2 lenses for the price of one.

question

Hello, ive been looking for an option instead of the Metabones speedbooster for my bmpcc,,WILL THIS WORK after i saw alot of bad reviews on about the adapter and the bmpcc,
Asked by: Anonymous
I can say that this adapter works as it should. I can't compare it to the metabones speed booster. But the adapter is solid metal construction, and if you probably put them side by side there would not be much of a difference with functions and quality. Maybe over time the metabones will last longer, but you could just be paying the high price for the name. I wouldn't e surprised if there machined in the same factories.

Will it get the DZO Pictor 20-55 to work on a ...

Will it get the DZO Pictor 20-55 to work on a BMPCC 4k (once the traditional Metabones 0.71 won't work)? I've been using a generic ef-m43 mount adapter but it comes with some issues such as making it really hard to shim the lens and keep it both parfocal and infinity focus... any solution on this issue please?
Asked by: Nikolas
The protrusions on the DZO Pictor 20-55 do make it an issue with many ef to mft speed boosters. Since various manufactures can have varying tolerances in their build and optic placement, we believe you could face an issue using the DZO Pictor 20-55 with the Mitakon Zhongyi Canon EF Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II.

question

Is this adapter parafocal or even close? Other adapters I've used have serious problems in that department.
Asked by: Austin T.
No, the issue isn't with the adapter; the lens itself has to be parfocal, the adapter can't change that.

It works great with the Pocket Cinema. Makes a world of difference against the MFT lenses i've been using.

question

Is there a Mitakon M43 to Yashica/Contax adaptor?, I don't see one here.
Asked by: Jason H.
The Micro Four Thirds (M43) sensor is much smaller than 35mm film. The imaging circle of a Micro Four Thirds lens would not cover the 35mm film frame, and as such (ignoring the focal flange distance differences), there are no adapters that will allow you to connect a Micro Four Thirds lens onto a camera that uses the Contax/Yashica lens mount. If you were instead looking to connect a Contax/Yashica lens onto the smaller Micro Four Thirds lens mount, while there are no options made by Mitakon Zhongyi, the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Contax-Yashica Mount Lens to Micro Four Thirds Mount Camera, B&H # FOPLMAC6YM43, would work for your usage needs.
