Mitakon Zhongyi MTKLTM2EFM43 overview

  • 1Description

Allowing you to mount a Canon EF lens on a Micro Four Thirds camera body, this Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II from Mitakon Zhongyi is a manual adapter that maintains infinity focus and image quality, and well as increases the maximum aperture and angle of view. Four elements are featured in the adapter's design, including one extra-low dispersion element, which helps to deliver a well-corrected image with edge-to-edge sharpness and illumination. This optical design also condenses the light reaching the sensor in order to gain one effective stop of light and increase the angle of view by 0.726x to somewhat lessen the crop factor of Micro Four Thirds cameras.

In addition to the optical design, this adapter features a durable metal housing along with stainless steel mounts for secure lens-to-adapter and adapter-to-camera connections. As a manual adapter, electronic communication, including aperture control and autofocus, is not supported between the camera and lens.

Permits mounting Canon EF lenses on Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras.
Four elements in four groups design, including one extra-low dispersion element, maintains sharpness and clarity from edge-to-edge.
Optical design condenses the light reaching the sensor to effectively gain one f/stop of light and increase the angle of view by 0.726x.
Durable metal construction with stainless steel mounts.

    Mitakon Zhongyi MTKLTM2EFM43 reviews

Canon EF Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sharp and Solid I've had the adapter for a few weeks now and it seems to hold the lenses pretty tight. My lenses are mostly used for cinema, so a follow focus system is attached. Thankfully, there still is no wiggle with the mount. However, I can definitely see the mount maybe loosening up as time goes by. For now, it's definitely snug and tight. Optically, it's sharp and great. Couldn't ask for better cost-effective alternative to the Metabones system. NOTE: I use completely manual lenses, so the adapter won't work with electronic apertures, auto-focus, and image stabilization.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does the job! It works well on my Canon EF lenses. As an alternative focal reducer to the Metabones SB, it's good - I haven't noticed any difference with both my regular adapter and the Mitakon, but I'm using it for the first time. I may re-review back. I'm so glad that it works (a bit) on the EF-S lenses. One thing I knew, too late, is that I can't use them on the new electronic STMs. Keep that in mind when choosing the right EF-S lens. I got a Canon EF-S 18-55mm II version, and it works! Thank you B&H for these adapters. I am very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lens Turbo II (Mark II) Ordered on Friday, November 28th, got it yesterday December 1st. Regular shipping New York, USA to Toronto, Canada, basically 2 business days and it was delivered. Super fast shipping! Product is amazing. This is mark II, version 2 of Lens Turbo by Mitakon Zhongyi. This one features much better lens coating than the previous version. Not a single problem with lens flare (some people called it blue/green dots). Using it with my GH4 and my Canon EF 50mm, f/1.8 II , Tokina 11-16mm DX/1.6x/APS Ultrawide and Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II LD IF. Lens Turbo II fits snugly to my GH4, no play at all. Lenses attach to Lens Turbo II in same fashion, no play whatsoever. Build quality seems great. It also came in new packaging, Zhongyi finally changed image on the box to reflect this Mark II version that's inside the box. Some people complained they received their Mark II adapter in old box with old picture of the Lens Turbo I. Focusing to infinity works beautiful. Have no cons to say about it, other than... it is not an active adapter (your auto-focusing, IS, or aperture control won't work). Not complaining, it's reflected in this super affordable price. Using it with my Variable ND filter to kind of compensate for the lack of aperture control until I get my hands on Rokinon (Samyang) 14mm or 16mm with aperture ring and manual control. I use my GH4 for video recording mostly, so this Lens Turbo II turning this small GH4 sensor into full frame basically, is God given product. Thank you B&H, will order again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! I got this for my bower and rokinon lenses. This little thing is great for the price. Unfortunately, it is ALL MANUAL. This means that there will be no electronic communication between the lens and the camera. So, if you need Autofocus, you will have to spend a couple of hundred dollars more on a Metabones. At this time, with the lenses I have, this does the job well. It is very sharp, it does give you a stop higher of light and provides a wider angle of view. Two thumbs up from me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great for the price I use this with a sigma 18-35 on my GH4. You can't control aperture or use Af, but I can just switch to the 12-35 if I need that. There's a little wiggle but It's not worth spending $500 extra for a Metabones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really like this We use this with our BMPCC. It works great and it does what they say it does. Wider FOV and one stop faster on the lens. Image still looks clean and sharp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but tight So, I had the mark 1 version and loved it. It did a great job, the lens coating was decent quality (as in, I never struggled too much with flaring or blue dots etc. So when the mark II came out, of course, I had to get it. I just got it, and of course it's improved, but I'd have to do a lot of pixel peeping to really tell a difference. BUT, the one thing is, when mounting your lenses to this adapter it is VERY VERY tight. I have to grip my lens with a DEATH grip to get it to twist on. The adapter-camera mount is easy and normal feeling. The Mark 1 version was very easy to get on and off the lens. This Mark II version is so, so tight. I makes me a little uncomfortable. Maybe it will become easier if I take my lens on and off it abunch of times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Alternative to Metabones Have not tried the Metabones Speed Booster alternative but am very satisfied with the Zhong Yi Lens Turbo II. I use it with my rokinon ef 35mm 1.5 cine lens and panasonic g7. The added field of view makes it a 50mm equivalent lens with 1.2 speed. Great image and no loss of sharpness.
