Mitakon Zhongyi MTKLTM2MDM43 overview

  • 1Description

Allowing you to mount a Minolta MD lens on a Micro Four Thirds camera body, this Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II from Mitakon Zhongyi is a manual adapter that maintains infinity focus and image quality, and well as increases the maximum aperture and angle of view. Four elements are featured in the adapter's design, including one extra-low dispersion element, which helps to deliver a well-corrected image with edge-to-edge sharpness and illumination. This optical design also condenses the light reaching the sensor in order to gain one effective stop of light and increase the angle of view by 0.726x to somewhat lessen the crop factor of Micro Four Thirds cameras.

In addition to the optical design, this adapter features a durable metal housing along with stainless steel mounts for secure lens-to-adapter and adapter-to-camera connections. As a manual adapter, electronic communication, including aperture control and autofocus, is not supported between the camera and lens.

Permits mounting Minolta MD lenses on Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras.
Four elements in four groups design, including one extra-low dispersion element, maintains sharpness and clarity from edge-to-edge.
Optical design condenses the light reaching the sensor to effectively gain one f/stop of light and increase the angle of view by 0.726x.

    Mitakon Zhongyi MTKLTM2MDM43 reviews

Minolta MD Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised I already did review, not sure why it doesn't show as Verified purchaser. Great product at fantastic price. Works as advertised. Reduces focal length or widens angle of view by .726 and gains one stop of light, confirmed by shutter speeds. I don't see any degradation in image sharpness, colours or contrast compared to using MD lens with dummy adapter. Ignore the reviewer bellow (Wally) that gave it negative review, he did not disclose that he is using it with JVC camcorder with m43 mount which uses larger 35mm sensor (his youtube video reveals it). This product is designed to work with m43 cameras and 4/3 sensor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC! The Lens Turbo II increases the brightness of the image - I measured a 3/4 stop increase. And of course, it also widens the view. It's also sharp right to the edge. I've used it with many Minolta lenses, including the 58mm f/1.2. It improved the quality of every lens. I tried the Metabones Speed Booster Ultra, but had to return it because it would not allow the iris to stop down on many Minolta lenses. No such problem with the Lens Turbo II. Plus the Lens Turbo is 1/3 the price of the Metabones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Updated Review Yes, did not disclose, because I didn't think it was relevant. SO...if you're using a JVC GY-LS300, do not buy this lens adapter. New to the mft world and all the iterations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than expected! Wow much better than expected! I initially thought, well... its Chinese... but the price is right. But it is made of machined aluminum, tight fit on body and lens. Not withstanding its Chinese heritage, the image is clean and the added stop of light is incredibly useful!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DONT BUY, BE AWARE I bought this adapted (Mitakon Zhongyi Minolta MD Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II) about six months ago and you do get a tighter image and more light but It affects the image quality by a lot, If I could I would return it but irs to late, after tons of shooting I noticed that I was getting way better results (in terms of sharpens, fare and chromatic aberration) with the cheap 15$ adapter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wouldn't buy this again. Big haze in the middle. Used with a couple of Minolta lenses and there is a glow/haze/mess of lightness in the middle with every lense I use it with. I tried to find if others had the same problem via extensive google searches but came up empty-handed. Now the no hassle return policy has expired and I'm left with this (expensive) thing that doesn't provide the results I had hoped for. Look at the footage and see what I mean. Ugh.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Its overpriced for what it Does. Tons of FLARE I have the Minolta to M43 , I use two lenses and it washes out the image. spect Lots of disturbing white flare. I would only pay 50 dollars for it.
