This Wraparound Bracket for Sony XLR-K1M, FDR-AX100, and HDR-CX90 from DM-Accessories fits most palm-sized camcorders, allowing the same comfortable handheld grip of your camera while providing protection and both 1/4"-20 and cold shoe accessory mounting. Made from a single piece of CNC-machined aluminum, it is machine-formed into the rigid wraparound bracket and then powder coated with a satin finish.
The bracket features a total of three 1/4"-20 threaded accessory mounting holes, one on the top next to the cold shoe mount and two in the vertical riser. The integrated cold shoe is approximately 2.7" long, which is longer than most cold shoes found on cages, and it extends towards the back. This allows you to use longer microphones and keep them from protruding into your frame. It also allows you to mount additional accessories on the cold shoe, all without stressing your camcorder's body. The mounting plate has seven 1/4"-20 threaded mounting holes, allowing you choices in how far forward or back you mount the camcorder. The mounting plate is covered with a rubber grip pad, which protects your camcorder from metal-to-metal contact.
