Can anyone confirm if this will work with the ...
Can anyone confirm if this will work with the Canon Vixia HF G50? The manufacturer's website states that a compatible camera "should be shorter than 3.6" and be smaller than 1 5/8" from the tripod hole center to the rightmost part of the camera." It appears that I *should* be ok, but would love to confirm before I purchase. Thanks!

Seeing the images I think you're not going to be able to use a microphone on the camcorder hot shoe.Is it true?
There is enough clearance for an ECM W1M wireless receiver or a Multi Interface to cold shoe adapter, so a Sony microphone should fit. The only problem is that the sound may be obstructed by the XLR-K1M adapter since it mounts in front of the hot shoe. If you remove the XLR-K1M adapter then you should have no obstruction issues with this bracket still mounted to your camera. As someone else mentioned there is a cold shoe on the XLR-K1M adapter. Hope this helps!

No, this bracket is made for narrow camcorders, not wide still cameras. I would suggest this bracket. Vello CB-510 Dual Shoe Bracket with Silicon Rubber Grip B&H # VECB510.

While this product is designed for larger camcorders you should still be able to use it with the HDR-PJ410.
