IndiPRO Tools Compact 95Wh Gold-Mount Li-ion Battery

This Compact 95Wh Gold-Mount Li-ion Battery from IndiPRO Tools outputs 14.8V, has a capacity of 6.6Ah, and supports up to a 10A draw. Its features include a Samsung cell, a weight of slightly more than 1.5 pounds, and a standard D-Tap port for powering accessories via a separately available cable. For quick status checks, an integrated 4-bar LED gauge displays the battery's remaining power.

Add Gold Mount battery support to the Blackmagic Cinema Camera or Production Camera 4K with this Gold Mount Plate from IndiPRO Tools. It connects to the camera using a dedicated barrel connector at the end of a 20" cable, and attaches to your rig via a 15mm LWS rod bracket provided on the bottom. Attached on the back of your rig, it can also be used as a counterweight. The plate features a D-Tap output for powering 12-16V accessories simultaneously with the camera.

Only 18 Minutes Of Use From A Full Charge

I ran a test with this fully charged v-mount battery attached to an Aputure 120d at 100% full power and the battery only lasted for 18 minutes. I am not a battery expert and maybe my knowledge of v-mount batteries is very limited, but the light had turned off during my first interview session with a client on the job site which was embarrassing.

I love how the Charger easily charges the Battery in less than 1 hour. And the Battery life is a mere 9 to 12 hours. Prefect for a whole days production shoot without even thinking of having to recharge. Excellente' !!!

Can you ply this right into the BOCC4k for power the way it comes? Or would I hav etc purchase a Dtap connector ?

This plate features a 2.5mm connector that is hard wired directly from the plate so there will be no need to purchase a separate d-tap connector for the camera. The plate does feature an additional d-tap port so if you wish to power another device than you would need to buy a separate d-tap cable.

No. This is specifically designated to fit the song cameras. However the v battery will fit most led light kits

There are two questions that state the battery does not come with a charger and one that says it does. The description says 'IndiPRO Tools D-Tap Pro Battery Charger (16.8V, 2.5A)" Can you confirm it indeed comes with a charger?

This is a V-Mount battery. It is designed to power products that accept a V-Mount battery. We are not quite sure what Solix is referring to, but if it works with V-Mount batteries this is a great option.

will this power the blackmagic 4k assist monitor, cause i heard a lot of report that using external power with the blackmagic 4k 7 video assist and the micro cameras will fry them up is that right?

We have not heard of nor could we find reports about this or other battery systems damaging either the 4K 7 or the Micro cameras. We would caution that prudence dictates powering down any device before changing batteries or removing the dummy to prevent any harm to it.

It all depends on the type of charger that you are using to charge the battery. For example if you were to use a 2.5A charger the battery would be fully charged in approximately 3 hours.
