Cell Phone Hand Grips and Supports

The quality of built-in cameras in smartphones has rapidly increased in recent years, and this has led to the development and increased usage of a range of mobile grips and supports, such as cell phone hand grips, mini tripods, stabilizers, and more. You need to understand how each of these gadgets works to choose the right one for your needs.

Mobile Supports for Photography

If you love taking photos of yourself when others aren't around, consider buying a selfie stick. These have smartphone mounts on one end, a hand grip on the other, and you can even extend them outward to take clearer second-person POV photos. They're the perfect solution for capturing yourself with beautiful background scenery when traveling to new places. Bluetooth selfie sticks are convenient for self photos and joining in on group shots. Most are compatible with Galaxy phones from Samsung and iPhones, and the Bluetooth function provides a handy remote shutter release.

Phone hand grips are more compact and lightweight, and are comfortable to hold. The ergonomic design reduces camera vibration when taking photos. You can also use mini tripods with tripod mounts for camera phones to stabilize your shots. Even if you choose to use mobile add-on lenses and filters to give your photos a more cinematic feel, you can still use mobile tripods or hand grips when taking these shots.

Mobile Supports for Shooting Videos

While you can still use selfie sticks and hand grips for stable videos, other smartphone supports aid phone videography, such as gimbal stabilizers and dollies. Smartphone stabilizers come in two main types: motorized and non-motorized. With non-motorized stabilizers, you have more control of your phone camera when shooting videos, while still maintaining much-needed stability. Motorized stabilizers, on the other hand, allow you to set the tilt of your phone camera, and they come with auto-correcting capabilities for smooth video taking. For clear tracking shots, consider dollies. These small, configurable platforms feature articulating arms, caster wheels, and smartphone mounts that allow you to move your camera smoothly on flat surfaces. Also, check out smartphone attachment cases and kits to keep your phone safe from bumps, dust, and scratches while shooting videos or photos.
