I can't think of a better camera to use for filming in 4K and streaming. It's affordable, the menu is easy to navigate, it pairs well with Atomos recorders and it's built like a tank. Sure the autofocus isn't the best but the good definitely outweighs the bad. BUY IT!!!

I needed this camera for a budget full 4k project and it never disappoints. Clean Hdmi very helpful. Portable in size but great on image quality. Buy if available.

This is about the best camera I have ever used. It has a terrific combination of video options and stills capabilities. It might not be considered a great tool for pictures, but I get more good/great shots from this camera than any other I have used. It also has excellent ergonomics, long battery life, and lots of Micro Four Thirds lens options. I am glad I purchased this camera, and hope to get lots of great photos and videos with it!

This camera is amazing, has great image quality as well as light weight. The only downside is that it doesn’t have any in body image stabilization for video, but a nice lens would fix that just fine.

I'm a beginner, recording videos for courses I plan to sell and for YouTube. So, I have little to compare this camera to, but I think it's excellent. It was very easy to setup and use and I've been able to use the wifi capability and the Panasonic app to sit in front of the camera and see myself on my phone, adjust settings, etc. I'm so happy with it.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera Body Deluxe Kit B&H # PADMCGH4BDK comes with a Squaretrade protection plan, which will cover the camera outside the US against drops or spills for 2 years. Otherwise, the warranty included in the box with the camera is only valid in the US for 1 year by Panasonic.

The image stabilization for the Panasonic GH4 is in lens only, and as long as the lens has image stabilization, this function will work while shooting 4K.

It is a great shame that this camera does not have a global shutter to eliminate the jello effect caused by a rolling shutter. Many Blackmagic cameras have a global shutter at a reasonable price point. Has Panasonic made any plans to introduce a global shutter in future models? And if not, has B&H shared how much customers such as myself would appreciate this?
The Blackmagic Design Production Camera 4K features a Super 35mm sized image sensor with a global shutter; however, it is also roughly double the price of the Panasonic GH4. Also, the Blackmagic camera is designed specifically for video whereas the GH4 is still marketed as a still camera first. Panasonic may introduce a GH series camera with a global shutter in the future, but at this time they have not publicly said anything. Panasonic and B&H have many trainings and meetings a year and customer feedback is always part of this dialogue. We will be happy to pass along your feedback.

Is the one year warranty US based only, or does it cover someone based in the UK?
The camera comes with a 1-year USA valid warranty. For product sold out side the United States, please check with the manufacturer locally, to see if they will honor the USA warranty. This is entirely up to the discretion of the manufacture in question and out of the control of B&H.

hi - can anyone please help. My YAGH on my GH4 has hiccuped and showing firmware v0.0 I am trying to update with v1.1 downloaded from Panasonic update page - its starts then stops without managing to do update anything; remaining on 0.0. YAGH will not work at the moment. Does anyone know what I can do to fix? thanks
