Nikon CF-DC8 Reviews

Good for general use or carrying with you

This semi-soft case is nice to have when walking with your camera with a lens of about 5.5 inches out from the front. It protects well enough for walking in the brush or carrying through an area with people.

A Must-have

It's a bit expensive but honestly, if you bought a D500, why would you go cheap on the case ? Very well designed. I wish it had pockets for filters or something to make it more multi purpose.

Utilizes the D500 straps, what does this mean, does it mean when you take camera out of case, the bag stays hanging from the straps while using the camera??
Asked by: Paul
When using the Nikon CF-DC8 Semi-soft Case for D500 DSLR, there is a connector in the case that allows for the straps to be attached to the case as well as the camera.

question

Will it hold th D500 camera with a long lens attached? i.e. how long can a lens be to fit camera and lens in this case? Any side pockets to hold an extra battery or card?
Asked by: Chester
This case will not fit long lenses. You can use this case with standard focal length lenses (e.g. 50mm and so forth).

question

Will it hold the D500 camera with 18-300 lens and battery pack?
Asked by: Francisco C.
Depends on which 18-300; the f3.5-6.3G probably (it's about the same size as the 18-140 that Maureen J. speaks of), but the f3.5-5.6 version is almost an inch longer so I wouldn't expect it to fit. Add the MB-D17 on the bottom, and I doubt very much it would fit. I keep the 16-80 f2.8-4 on it with the shade reversed and a Kirk plate on the bottom of the D500, and it just fits. Anything bigger, and you'll just have to go for a bag.

question

Will it hold camera with a battery pack attached & the 16-80mm lens?
Asked by: Karl
I think the MB-D17 would be too big. I just have a Kirk plate on the bottom, and it fits nice. Anything more is doubtful.
