What is the difference between the 200PL-14 and the 200PL plates as are listed in the description? Thanks.
Asked by: Steven
Sorry for the confusion. There is no difference between them. The Manfrotto 200PL is the most commonly known name for their RC2-style quick release plate, but "200PL-14" is another technical SKU commonly employed by them; the "-14" they use refers to 1/4"-20 threads, and some of their other products have "-38" which refers to 3/8"-16 threads (not used in this case).

question

What's ball size? 38mm or 40mm?
Asked by: Anonymous
Manfrotto does not list that specification in any literature related to the ball size. Chances are it is 38mm but in general there is no reason for that size to be in the specifications. The ball if you had to replace that part does not come separate and is part of the enclosed mount. This is a link to the parts http://bit.ly/1JPcwc1.
