question

how do I attach and remove the 128RC from the tripod?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Manfrotto 128RC connection to a tripod through a 3/8 connection. You can take this head off and on any tripod with such screw, such as B&H #MAMT290XTA3U.

question

does this not come with a quick release plate if no what kind of quick release plate can this use??
Asked by: Samantha
It does not. I use this primarily for theatricals where I have extended recording and did not need the quick release plate, though it would be nice. An accessory listed for this head is the Oben QRA-R2 Quick Release Assembly with RP-20 Plate which has good reviews. I have not tried it. A search of B&H has other quick release plates. some which also give additional sliding adjustment. Make sure the base has a 1/4 thread or if larger has an adapter bushing to reduce the 3/8 thread down to 1/4 to fit the 1/4 thread on the head.

Is this head too big for a window mount?
Asked by: Doug
That will depend on your specific needs and the window you are using. That being said the base diameter for this head is 2.36 inches and the working height is 4.53 inches. It only weighs 35.27 ounces. It may work for your needs depending on those specs.
