Realize the full potential of your flash setup by adding wireless triggering and control with the Phottix Odin II TTL Flash Trigger Transmitter. Compatible with Nikon's i-TTL flash system and equipped with a 2.4 GHz radio transmission system, the Odin II will communicate and trigger receivers or radio-capable flash units at distances up to 328'. To further benefit users, it can be used in a multi-system setup that involve Odin TTL, Strato, and Strato II receivers as well as Mitros+, Indra360, and Indra 500 lights. A major improvement over the previous model is an expansion of channels and the introduction of the Digital ID which gives further control over channels 5-32 to eliminate interference with other systems.

Embracing TTL communication between the camera and flash, automatic exposures can easily be made and more advanced users can take advantage of manual power and zoom control to dial in the exact look they need. Using the five groups, users can also control different groups and flashes with varying settings as well as mix and match TTL and manual units. All of this is easily accessed via the large LCD screen along with direct access buttons for the groups and a rotary dial for quickly adjusting settings.

Additional features include both high-speed sync for TTL flashes as well as the proprietary OverDrive Sync mode for manual studio strobes, both of which allow users to work at shutter speeds up to 1/8000 second. Also, users will be able to remotely control the modeling light of their Indra TTL strobes as well as use an AF assist light when needed. And, it has a mini-USB port for firmware updates.

TTL information transmission is possible with Odin TTL receiver, Mitros+ flash, and Indra360/500 TTL lights while manual triggering is possible with Strato and Strato II receivers

Odin II TTL Flash Trigger Transmitter for Nikon is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is an excellent item ... Highly recommend I decided to upgrade from my Odin I system. I've used that and have been quite happy with it. The controls on this are even MORE intuitive ... I didn't think that possible! Only downside: Neither Odin nor B&H note in the literature that when you mix this with Odin I receivers (yes, they work) you will be limited to only 3 zones (A, B, and C). You cannot take advantage of all 5 zones (A, B, C, D, and E) until you upgrade ALL receivers to the Odin II protocol and operate on the upper channels. I would still have made the decision to upgrade my system regardless, but it would have been nice to know this in advance. It might have affected the timing and order I did things in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Second Generation Trigger! Well, the original Odin has been bested by the Odin II. First, it's tilted towards the front of the camera so it's very easy to see the controls. Much easier to program in High Speed Sync. Strong transmitter fired flashes in other rooms for real estate jobs. And much less complicated to operate flashes and strobes, this time 5 lights instead of 3. It's nice to program your lights from the back panel instead of plugging my pocket wizard into a computer to reprogram it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best Flash Triggers available Easy navigation allows for quick control over 5 groups of flashes or Speedlights. Can be custom coded so other units can not trigger it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally more than three zones & ttl Love it, 5 zones, don't need a computer to change channels now if they would just make receiver for Einsteins.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice update from V1 The controls are much more intuitive and more quickly changed than on the version 1 controller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This worked out well for me I like to shoot the way Scott Kelby does it by setting the ISO to 100, f 5.6, 1/125 and in manual flash and then adjust the power only up and down to get the exposure I want. Once I got some help from B&H (they were great) the system worked without a flaw. I tried TTL and no problems there. Also used for some macro work and loved the result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product! Works as advertised, total independent control of flash units from the camera. Stayed behind camera and adjusted light output of up to 5 different speedlights. I'm using Nikon SB800 units and they worked flawlessly with the flash trigger receiver. Battery life is also great, the unit goes into idle mode when not in use to save battery life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Functionality & User Interface I should start by saying I was a canon shooter for years with multiple 600ex-rt flash units and a canon transmitter. The canon 600ex-rt series speedlites and transmitter set a new benchmark in industry standards for performance, user interface, feature rich tech. and of course as is typical with canon a beautiful product. With this in mind, I can honestly say Phottix is 100% on that level with the release of Odin II products. I own 4 Phottix Mitros Speedlights, 1 Transmitter (being reviewed here) and 4 Odin II receivers which, when paired with the Odin II Transmitter, provide even more options for connecting to off camera flash units overall multiple channels. Phottix has even included a specific I.D. option for setting a personal I.D. That associates with specific flashes on a given channel to ensure only you can trigger your flash units which is extremely helpful when working around other photographers with off camera flash systems in place. This Transmitter is built well and feels solid to the touch. The user interface is very efficient once you read the instructions and learn the system. Like anything else, it of course does require some time to learn how Phottix has organized things but once you are familiar you will realize how superior the setup really is! Excellent product, worth every penny!
