    Canon LP-E19 reviews

    LP-E19 Battery Pack (2750mAh) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from New Canon Battery This is the new battery from Canon for the 1DX mkii camera. What is nice is it will work in the old model, but you have to use the new charger. The LP-E19 has a higher current rating (2750mAh)and will allow the camera to do 14 frame a second and 16 in live view. When the power gets to app 50% the frame rate drops to 12 & 14. So far with the build in GPS and chimping a lot I getting between 1200-1500 photos per battery (our mileage may vary). Overall, I pleased with the new battery and charger as I was moving up from the 5D mkiii.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid battery I have been reading the reviews on the Nikon D5 vs. Canon 1DxII number of shots and for me it is an edge case where I may wish I had the D5's battery life. For most shooting having 2 - 5 batteries will more than suffice for a days worth of shooting. Yes, sports photographers have a stronger argument for a long lasting battery, and maybe this will sway some of you to Nikon, but things ebb and flow between Nikon and Canon. However I am reading reviews of folks getting 4000 shots on a battery with no GPS, no liveview and no movie recording. Overall I am very happy with the battery life I am getting. I am mostly doing Wedding, Architectural, and Landscape photography, and have yet to get to a second battery. I haven't pushed the battery to it's max yet and am seeing 4 bars on the camera after 1000 photos with no GPS. Will repost as I gather more data.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must-have for the Canon 1Dx Mark II This is a mild upgrade from previous LP-E batteries but it's a must have for the Canon 1DX Mark II. You can't get the maximum speed or battery life out of that camera without this battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bombproof battery I use my 1Dx mkII heavily in the field, and really have never needed a second battery, even when autofocusing/stabilizing all day. These batteries are so much better than previous itierations. Just bought this extra battery for long trips (days and days away from chargers).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great battery, but alot of downtime These batteries are huge and last insanely long, that said they take alot longer than what we are used to for charging, and their dual slotted charger only charges one at a time, i guess there is some convenience in not having to swap the charging batteries as much, but a full 14hr charge cycle means you have to plan and prep in advance alot more

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like new type battery pack This is a totally different battery pack, but it sure seems to last a very long time. Used it this past week at a local Professional Hockey game. After the game which is usually about 4 hours, it showed hardly any usage on the battery meter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive battery for an even more expensive Camera Pro - amazing battery for the 1DX II. Took 2,000 shots at a recent event and still had 60% left... Con - expensive... as expensive as my first digital camera. When it comes to power, I don't trust any battery except for OEM.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You need at least two of these Shot a full day of video at Walt Disney World with just one using my Canon 1DX Mark II in 4K 60p. It holds a great full day charge but I recommend having a second. This Canon battery is great.
