Kopul XRSM Reviews

This one cable greatly expands my audio capability

I have a Sennheiser shotgun mike - and then I acquired a Sennheiser camera mount to a cold shoe0 with built-in stabilizer. Yes, it's a very long microphone for a camera - but with a SmallRig cage, it actually is pretty cool. The only thing missing was this cable. Now that I have it - I have a microphone that is much better than the usual camera mounted options and still useable in a run and gun situation.

Should come standard with Zoom H1-n

I use a Zoom H1-n as a back-up recorder taped to a PA system for live events, but having one of these cables handy allows me to use it for a whole variety of other uses.

Bought it to connect a less-expensive wireless mic system to a mult box. It works as advertised, was a fair price, and I'd gladly purchase it again.

If you want to hookup a shotgun mic straight to camera, this will do it no problem.

The same cable was worked for three years with the external mic and moderate usage. Then statics and clicks appeared. It would be better to use the metal xlr connector...

with this cord will i be able to connect an SM-58 to my Rode Wireless Go using the lav input?
Asked by: cory
Should work SM58 does NOT require Phantom power so you should get a good signal. Far as connections female XLR will connect directly to you SM58 and the 3.5mm RA stereo work for me into my little Zoom recorder as a mono connection. should work for you.

question

Does this send the same signal to both left and right inputs on the camera?
Asked by: Steve
Yes. The Kopul XRSM-10B will send a signal from a 3-pin XLR to the left and right channels of a camera. Be mindful of the differences between line and mic, as a line signal will overload a mic input and cause distortion.

Can I use this to my Dji Mic 2 and my Zoom H4N Pro?
Asked by: John Benedict
No, the Kopul XRSM 3-Pin XLR Female to 3.5mm RA Stereo Mini-Plug Cable will not connect the receiver output of the DJI Mic 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System to the input of the Zoom H4n Pro 4-Input / 4-Track Portable Handy Recorder. The XLR connector on the XRSM has the wrong gender for this application. A recommended cable to perform this function is the Hosa Technology Pro Stereo Breakout Cable - 3.5mm Stereo Mini to Dual 3-Pin XLR Male (BH #HOHMX003Y).

Will this work for the black magic pocket 4k/6k ...

Will this work for the black magic pocket 4k/6k mini xlr port to sennheiser g4 lav mics?
Asked by: Logan
No, the Kopul cable will not work because it has the wrong types of connectors on both ends. The Sennheiser wireless receiver requires a locking 3.5mm TRS male connector and the camera's input requires a 3-pin mini-XLR (TA3) male connector. You can use the Kondor Blue Mini-XLR Male to Locking 3.5mm Stereo Cable for BMPCC 6K & 4K - Black (B&H # KOMINIPLSBK) to connect the output from the wireless receiver to the camera's mini-XLR input. If you decide to connect the wireless receiver to the camera's 3.5mm input, you can use the Sennheiser CL1 3.5mm to 3.5mm Output Cable for EW Series Camera-Mount Receiver (B&H # SECL1).

How is this wired? Will it downmix stereo headphone output to mono XLR? Is right + tied to left +, and is ground tied to -?
Asked by: Robb
If you are looking to connect from a headphone output, you would actually need an adapter like B&H # KORSMXM015 , which has a male XLR output. That would mix the stereo signal down to mono. For separate left and right audio, you would need a Y-cable like B&H # KOSMYCM2XM03 .
