Are both sides E mount?
Asked by: Csar
The adapter is compatible with Sony e-mount bodies but only certain e-mount lenses (e.g., Sony EF GM 100-400, Sony EF GM 70-200 f2.8). Check the Sony website to confirm the extender is compatible with your e-mount lens.

Art 105mm (FE, Sigma f/1.4) & this TC = any chance to work.. ?
Asked by: Alain
The Sony FE 1.4x Teleconverter, B&H # SOTC14, is specifically designed for use with the Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS lens and the Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS lens. It is not compatible with any other lenses, and would not be compatible for use with the Sigma 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Sony E.

I'm looking for teleconverter for a 100-400mm Sigma DG, FE mount. Would this work? ...anyone try it?
Asked by: Manny
I am using one on the 100-400 and I like it. My idol Mark Smith uses one on his 600f4 prime with his A1 body. If it's good enough for Mark, it's good enough for me. I worried about loss of resolution but for an amateur it is fine. All my glass is sony with a A9.

What is the difference between the tele extender ...

What is the difference between the tele extender and extension tube for bird in flight photography?
Asked by: Ryan
A Teleconverter is used to give a longer focal length. The focal length is multiplied by the Magnification Factor. These typically come in 1.4x or 2x. An Extension tube allows for closer focusing. The purpose of using an Extension tube would be for macro work to magnify objects a short distance away. When using an extension tube, the lens is generally only able to focus close, and cannot focus on things a longer distance away. Simply put: Teleconverters magnify distant objects. Extension tubes magnify close objects.
