As an uncoated fine art paper, Platinum Rag from Hahnemuhle is ideal for platinum printing as well as a variety of other non-traditional photographic printing techniques, such as palladium, Van Dyke, cyanotype, and salt prints. Available here as a 25-pack of 22 x 30" sheets, the naturally bright white paper offers a basis weight of 300 gsm and is made from 100% cotton fiber. It is acid free with no optical brightening agents and is free from alkaline buffering. This makes it easy to coat and clear.

This paper is capable of displaying images with an excellent tonal range and very deep blacks. The smooth, slightly textured surface is also pleasant to touch and being an uncoated paper is able to be printed on the front or back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great paper for Platinum Printing This is a new paper that is really incredible. The surface is similar to Platine and COT320. It has great wet strength and can take multiple washes and printing for processes like Gum Bichromate and Gum over Platinum. The paper is slow to take solution which can make it easier to coat. It is a bright white paper but not as bright as Fabriano Bright White. It has a cooler color with platinum/palladium, even when heating up the Potassium Oxalte. This is a great all around paper and will be using this over Platine or COT320. The paper may seem more expensive, but it does not take as much solution to coat the paper so you save that way. Instead of 18 drops for an 8x10 I use 12 drops.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Alt Processing Rag used with Pt/Pd emmulsions Used with the Pt/Pd process, quit a lovely paper, though I've only used with the samples sent me from Hahnemuehle, ran out of time last week to seriously print, one sample is superb an am anxious to get into the lab again this week and print for real. Will utilize with students given the ease of use with this paper. Really nice and I am glad they've come forth and produced a paper for the Alt. processors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Alt Process paper Is a 'hard' papers not unlike Bergger COT 360. Use for pt./pd. and the colour is nice, holds solution well and overall is a good alternative process paper. I would recommend this paper to all wanting an alternative to COT 320 (if you cannot find the COT); USE BOTH!
