Nissin Air R Reviews

Works perfectly for my Off Camera Flashes for Canon T4i

I needed an Air-R with the Air 1 with the Nissin Di700A. I used it so I could have my older Canon 430 EX II as well as the Nissan new flash off camera. Very satisfied with the early results using my Canon T4i. A low cost solution to help get more professional results. I tried an alternate brand and returned it for quality issues. Fairly simple to set up. Included are quick manual sheets. Their is a manual you can download. Also lots of Youtube videos. Very pleased with the results. Generally use the Air R to trigger the Canon 430 as fill.

Inexpensive and competitive wireless receiver for Canon

Although it looks all plastic, the receiver has some intelligence with communication to the Nissin Air 1 commander, and puts the Canon 6D in the game. More expensive native flashes and wireless (radio) triggers are available, but at twice or more the cost. Yes, I would purchase (and did) for other cameras and flashes to be used as standalone and separately controlled speed-lights with the master controller (Air 1). Note: I have not compared to the other Canon camera models for similar compatibility of features, but this receiver is a quality product at an inexpensive price.

Hello. I have a basic manual flash which supports S1 and S2 modes. Can I use this receiver to sync with my Nissin i60A in HSS mode? I have the air 1 commander. Thank you.
Asked by: Dean J.
Using the Manual flash on the Nissin Air receiver will not give you HSS in the S1 or S2 setting.
