Power your camera continually, and without interruption, with the Case Relay Camera Power System from Tether Tools. Equipped with a built-in 7.4V, 1,200mAh lithium battery and a 5 VDC input via USB, this system will provide power, while being connected to an external power source for a nearly constant source. When connected to a 2A USB battery pack or an AC adapter, the Case Relay can still be able to provide a constant supply of power to your camera, and thanks to the internal battery the system will support hot swapping of external power sources. An LED indicator light will shift from green to yellow to red to show battery percentage so that you will not accidentally lose power during a long time lapse or video production. This system is compatible with numerous camera systems through the use of a separately available coupler. This coupler fits into the battery compartment of your camera and acts as a dummy battery to supply power.

Case Relay Camera Power System is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great power solution for time lapse, or video. I bought this Tether Tools Case Relay Camera Power System along with the Tether Tools Relay Camera Coupler For Canon Cameras With Lp-E6 Battery, and Tether Tools Strapmoore. I also got 2 HyperGear Dual USB Power Bank 20000mAh Universal Portable Rapid Charge power banks. I shot 2, 8-hr days of video this week, and barely used up 2 out of 5 lights of charge. This is a great power solution for time lapse, or video. Plug in the adapter into the camera battery compartment. (My Canon 80D has a rubber flap that allows the cord to stick out and still close the door.) Wrap up the Case relay, and power bank in the Strapmore velcro and strap it to a tripod leg. Easy and convenient, and don't worry about changing batteries.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A neat power solution for Sony E mount cameras While the newer A6300, A7ii series cameras allow continuous operation with an external USB Power supply, I was very uncomfortable about straining that connection with constant movement from the camera. The Case Relay Camera Power System addresses that by powering the Sony camera via a replacement battery coupler. Featuring a builtin battery, it also affords uninterrupted power when replacing the external USB power source .. a really nice feature! Fully charged, my A7rii shows the battery at 92% capacity, so it seems slightly smaller in capacity than the regular Sony battery but that's more than enough to conveniently replace the external USB power source. An added bonus is that the Camera's multiUSB port is now free to take on a different device..like a time lapse remote control. I wish it came with some velcro strap ,so it can conveniently strap on to the external USB power supply and avoid straining the USB connector. Also, that it came with a a strap to ensure the plug connection to the Replacement Battery Coupler does not come loose. I had to come out with DIY solutions to address those concerns but it would have been nicer if the manufacturer built them into the product. Otherwise a great solution for extended operations like time lapse, astrophotography or event coverage

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really cool UPS system Who woulda thought of such a simple camera UPS system using consumer USB batteries?! This so perfect for long events and timelapses. I only wish that the Sony mirrorless cameras would record for longer than 30 minutes at a time and it would be a totally hands-off long recording setup. The only problem I ran into was that the a7sii we used it with would sometimes incorrectly detect its battery being almost depleted and wouldn't allows us to format the next card to use. So we had to turn off the camera, take out the dummy battery, put in a normal battery, turn on, format, turn off, take out the normal battery, etc. but hey. It's a third party universal power item. Can't expect it to work perfectly with every single brand :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Added a 3 amp USB AC supply and ran for a 2 weeks nonstop. Needed to set up a D500 so a presenter could record 2 half hour presentations a day for 2 weeks without me being there. We did a couple of dry runs and I realized I didn't want the be swapping batteries every day. That required 4 of my 7 EN-EL15 batteries, 2 in the body-grip and 2 charging, plus me stopping by every day and the chance of accidently changing focus or framing. Nikon was out of stock for their AC adapter and I really didn't want to put a $25 power supply in my camera unattended for 2 weeks. Found this from Tether Tools and decided it was what I wanted. Worked great, used a 3 amp USB charger to power it up and just left it. Checked it when I swapped drives in the recorder but never did anything to it, worked great. I did gaff tape the connection to the battery adapter just in case, something better than a barrel connector would be nice since if it got yanked on everything would stop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This thing has ruined all my shots I got this so I can run Astro TL in the cold and get longer shots than the A7S battery can handle. Everytime I plug it in it says the battery is at critical level even if its charged. Then I go to look at my TL and it always I repeat always shuts down. #Frustrated

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as expected! I used this for my videography project especially during the ceremony where I need to use an external battery for extra duration. It works perfectly! Definitely a real life saver when you can just leave the camera rolling at all time.
