Transmitter

The FreeWave LR Transmitter is a versatile, reliable remote control that will trigger off-camera flash units and studio heads from up to 600' away. The 2.4 GHz frequency provides reduced radio interference and an extended range without the need for line-of-sight alignment as the radio waves will pass through most walls, windows, and floors. Eight different channels let you trigger only specific Receivers of your choice, or an "all channels" button will trigger all Receivers simultaneously. The Transmitter's tilting joint allows it to be mounted vertically or horizontally onto your camera's hot shoe. The receiver is compatible with most major manufacturers' shoe-mount flashes which offer manual power control. Pentax, Sony/Minolta, and Sony Multi-Interface Shoe flash units are not compatible.

Receiver

Part of the FreeWave radio system, the FreeWave LR Wireless Receiver triggers off-camera flash units at up to 600' away from the system's transmitter. The 2.4 GHz frequency provides reduced radio interference and an extended range without the need for line-of-sight alignment. Eight user-selectable channels allow you to control which flashes you want to fire, and LED indicators help you see the selected channel in difficult lighting.

The FreeWave LR Wireless Flash Trigger and Remote Control from Vello is a versatile, reliable remote control kit that will trigger off-camera flash units and studio lights from up to 600' away. Eight different channels let you trigger only chosen specific receivers, or an "all channels" button will trigger all receivers simultaneously. The transmitter's tilting joint allows it to be mounted vertically or horizontally onto your camera's hot shoe.

An included 3.5 to 3.5mm sync cable connects the trigger to a studio flash. A 3.5mm to 1/4" mono plug adapter is also included for flashes with a 1/4" mono plug socket.
A hot shoe on the trigger allows for mounting the flash directly to the trigger.
Mount the trigger to any 1/4"-20 threaded stud or standard cold shoe.
The transmitter features a metal foot for durability.
A carrying pouch with an external and internal pocket protects your transmitter and receiver when not in use.
Two lanyards allow you to hang the transmitter and receiver from light stands or other equipment.

Will these triggers integrate and work with pocket wizard triggers. I own three PW triggers and need to add a couple of triggers?

Unfortunately, these Vello triggers work on a different frequency than that of the Pocket Wizard triggers, therefore they are not compatible with one another.

The Vello FreeWave LR Kit with 2 Receivers works with AlienBees strobes. It comes with the correct sync cord to attach the receiver to it. The remotes will not allow you to change power; you need to do that from the strobe.

While B&H does not carry Paul C. Buff lighting equipment such as the AlienBees monolights, their monolights use the 1/8" (3.5 mm) miniphone sync terminal on the back of the unit. As the Vello FreeWave LR Kit with 2 Receivers, B&H # VERFWLRK, includes a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm Sync Cable, yes, you may use this wireless flash trigger kit with their monolight strobe fixtures.

This system is not compatible with the Sony Multi-Interface Shoe as found on the A7 III. Will this work with two Godox mono lights and a camera without a hotshoe? I recent got a second Godox mono light and want to use both lights with my large format camera, previously I just used the cable that came with the Godox mono light and connected one end to the light and the other end to the port on my Large Format camera but to use both lights simultaneously I need a remote trigger and receiver, trying to see if this one would work...
