    USA GEAR S17 reviews

USA Gear S17 DSLR Camera Backpack (Black) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flexible & sturdy I researched DSLR bags for days and am really happy with this one. The zippers are heavy duty and the bag itself is really well padded. The inserts with velcro let me adjust the main space depending on what I'm packing, and the rain cover has come in handy. It fits my 5D, zoom lens, 50mm, mini shotgun, SD card case, tascam recorder no problem. The side access is nice when you're in a hurry, and the straps are padded and secure across your hips as well. The only thing I can see to improve on is to add extra padding on the bottom - it has the same as the rest of the bag and could use more there as it'll spend the most time resting that way.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Durable I got this pack as a fathers day gift, it has great room, i put 2 Nikon D750 bodies and 4 lenses in the main compartment. But within 2 months the top compartment fabric began to rip, the accessories started falling out and the top compartment was no longer usable. Over the next few months the straps began to fall apart and the back compartment separated from the main body of the back pack. At this point it is no longer usable after 6 months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Backpack! My favorite part of this backpack is the compartment on the top for miscellaneous items. Perfect for your lunch, snacks or anything else while out photographing. I have a six month old boy, and it's perfect to add diapers and an outfit change.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and spacious Have had this bag for over 2 years now and has no problem carrying 2 medium sized lenses, camera with lens, and lens filters in the bottom. Also the top pouch has more room than I expected. The zipper on the computer storage broke today, but would definitely recommend to DSLR users.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far So Good Other than the zipper getting stuck on the laptop pouch part, there are plenty of compartments to keep my equipment safe. One thing I would like to see in the future is maybe locks on certain zippers. It can be uneasy being in a crowded place with this on your back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This camera bag is everything I wanted and more. This bag holds my dslr camera, extra sense, go pro and my MANY accessories. It has multiple pockets to play whatever you may need to carry. It is well built and the straps convert to a sling bag. Super cool. I am really enjoying having all of my camera equipment in one bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great traveling camera backpack! Tons of pockets, and space just enough for what you need. The side pocket for the camera is my favorite part along with the deep top pocket. I had a canon camera backpack for years and always found it annoying and can't carry as much as I would like, but this one is way better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Waited til after use to write review I bought this pack for a hiking trip I was taking. I needed a backpack style instead of the messenger bag style camera tote I had been using. (Previous hikes resulted in shoulder problems with messenger bag.) Positives: Everything fit! 1 camera body, 2 lenses, manual, extra photo cards, charger fit nicely in the bottom section of the bag with room to spare. The velcro tabs make it easy to adjust the compartments to fit the gear and hold the camera in place. The top section fit my passport (zippered mesh), wallet (open mesh), munchies, tablet, hand wipes, chapstick, hand lotion, spare glasses. The 'laptop' section held my magazines for the plane ride. The whole thing fit completely under the seat in front of me (very important). Lots of padding. Unused to the pack, the first thing I did getting out of the taxi was to slam the backpack into a bollard at the airport. Not even a whimper from the camera. The shoulder straps were easily adjustable but there was an awful lot of strap left over. I may have to look at trimming that for the next trip. The waist strap was useful at times. Did not use the chest strap. (Just clipped it shut and it stayed out of the way.) There is plenty of padding on the straps. For the hiking I had either a winter jacket or fleece so I don't know how comfortable this is in a tank top. Negatives: I'm used to the messenger bag being open at the top making the camera super easy to access. This was a bit of a pain. Take backpack off, unzip, pull camera out. Also tricky was swapping lenses as the same procedure had to be used. However, my hiking partner could easily access the camera for me with the side zip. Overall it worked out well, especially being able to fit everything in it and shove it under the seat on the plane.
