    Avenger E250 reviews

E250 Long Double 5/8" Baby Pin is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Not much to say but these are good, solid baby pins. I like the set screw recesses that keep my studio strobes from pivoting from the weight of heavy modifiers. They fit perfectly in my Impact C-Stand booms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pins! I bought four Avenger E250 Long Double 5/8" BabyPins for use with lightweight light stands and Matthew's C-stands w/boom arms. These pins are heavy duty, and quite long. In fact, they are long enough to attach horizontally on a light stand and mount two speed-lights (see photos). The pins easily clamp onto C-stand boom arms and gobo arms to create mounts for lighting equipment, light modifiers, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Put lighting instruments where you want them I'm happy to now own a couple of these double baby pins because they enable me to mount small lighting instruments (e.g. 300 watt fresnels) in a wider variety of places compared to just using straight standing light stands by putting the baby pin on the end of a grip arm on a C-stand. Now, I can put lighting instruments down low or way up high, hanging over a subject. These open up a lot of possibilities, and, compared to clamping things to furniture or hanging them from drop ceilings, this is a lot more secure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IMHO an absolute necessity I'm relatively new at using strobes and I have struggled with positioning modifiers. I do have 10' ceilings but there is a ceiling fan in the way. I have used baby pins with collars with my speed lights and they work great. But this pin doesn't have a collar so I put a relatively large hitch pin (5/32") so I can use it as a drop down pin. The dimples allow the modifier to be positioned at odd angles without slipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong and Versatile I use this pin on with the Avenger C-Stand grip arm. The 2 detents on this pin make this product so useful and immediately differentiate from other baby pins, as the detents keep the light very steady, preventing it from rotating or moving. The length of this pin is also good, Id say a minimum length for the grip arm. Uses this to hold Profoto B1 and D2 with ease. Excellent product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for wired safety Although these don't have a collar at one end that will prevent the pin from slipping out during an adjustment, there are a couple of holes drilled in these for a safety wire, along with some detents in case you have a set screw. Personally, I prefer having the collar, but these are inexpensive and you have some unusual options on these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Solid Part I use this to attach my speedring/hotshoe mount of my softbox to an umbrella bracket. This allows me to angle my softbox in a much greater range. It is solidly cast and super reliable. No negatives at all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Option from E300 and E650 I use this in my grip on my c stand extension to hold a mono light. It's sturdy, the right length works great.
