Perfect for the grip head on my c stands. All my lights mount right on here and stay secure. Much better than the typical little ones with the threaded ends.

Is there a 1/4-20 hole on one end so that it can screw onto a 1/4-20 stud?

No, the Impact SRP-113 Long Double Stud 5/8" does not have a 1/4 20 hole. However. The aluminum Impact 5/8" Stud with 1/4"-20 Female Threads does.

question
Is this the item I need to attach a light fixture to my new C stand?
Asked by: Paul T.
Sorry Paul, It's impossible to answer your question without more information. Suggest you call B&H, give them the brand and model of you stand, and describe the stand parts you've got with measurements (exact). They will set you up with what you need. CW

question
What is the hole through the bottom for?
Asked by: Benjamin S.
I put in a metal ring attached to a safety cable from the stud to the strobe light to make sure if the strobe was to come loose and fall, it would not fall far but instead hang off the C-Stand or boom arm the stud and grip was attached to.
