Elinchrom EL-Skyport Receiver Plus Reviews

Basic trigger for a speedlight - no remote power control

I am not an expert on remote speedlight control, but these receivers are really only for incorporating speedlights with your Elinchrom Studio lights. No remote control of flash power and the units do not show up on the Pro Transmitter - you just need to know what group you assigned to the receiver. Not really rocket science - but you can use the EL transmitter now to fire both your strobes and speedlights. I am glad I still have my Pocket Wizards for when I need real flash control!

Great receiver

Great to use with aeos-2 as main light. Good to use for secondary flashes.

question

Is this compatible for Fuji XT2 with Elinchrom BR500?
Asked by: Ah Y.
This is a receiver unit for a flash or any monolight which does not have a built in radio trigger. To fire an Elinchrom BRX 500 from the Fuji X-T2, you would need the Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus B&H # ELSTP.

Yes! It works with the Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter Pro (in my case for Canon).

question

How does this attach to a light stand? Do I need a special attachment?
Asked by: Misty Z.
The Elinchrom EL-Skyport Receiver Plus has a 1/4 -20 female tripod socket on the bottom of the hot shoe on the receiver. If your light stand has a male 1/4 -20 screw on the top of the stud on the light stand, then it should work for your usage needs. If not, I would recommend the Impact Deluxe Umbrella Mount with Adjustable Shoe, B&H # IMDUBAS, for your usage needs. This would give you the advantage to be able to tilt the receiver (and any flash mounted on the receiver) up and down, and has both a hot shoe and a 1/4 -20 male thread as attachment options for the Elinchrom receiver.

If I attached a Canon 600 EXRT on a Elinchrom EL-Skyport Receiver Plus. Could I use the EXRT internal radio? And the Elinchrom EL-Skyport Receiver Plus would fire my Quadra's at the same time?
Asked by: ronald
This receiver will fire the light its attached to. If your using a Skyport transmitter then you could fire both the Quadra and the receiver with the 600EXRT.

question

Does this transmitter work with older model EL-Skyport Universal Receiver (19352)? I tried triggering the receiver in normal mode but it didn't work. I had the power connection on too and the receiver displayed green status light.

The old EL-Skyport Universal Receiver 19352 is not compatible with the EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus 19368. You will have to order a new EL-Skyport Receiver Plus 19369.19352 EL-Skyport Receiver 1st generation (old version) 19368 EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus 19369 EL-Skyport Receiver Plus
