Based on Intel's X99 chipset and retrofitted with technologies to help maximize the potential of Intel's Core i7 X-Series processors for the LGA 2011-v3 socket, the Republic of Gamers Strix X99 Gaming LGA 2011-v3 ATX Motherboard from ASUS has been created for gaming. It will fit into cases that support the ATX form factor.
The Republic of Gamers Strix X99 has eight DIMM slots that can support up to 128GB of DDR4 RAM, or 16GB per slot, with a maximum overclocked frequency of 3333 MHz. It also supports a total of 8 x SATA III 6 Gb/s ports, 1 x SATA Express port, 1 x M.2 Socket 3, and will also support 1 x U.2 port. Regardless of whether this motherboard is equipped with a 28 or a 40-lane CPU, there is support for 3 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 slots, 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 slot, and 2 x PCIe 2.0 x1 slots. USB connectivity is achieved using 1 x USB 3.1 Type-C port and 1 x USB 3.1 Type-A port at speeds up to 10 Gb/s, as well as 8 x USB 3.0 ports, with speeds up to 5 Gb/s. When equipped with a ThunderboltEX 3 add-on card, this motherboard will support bi-directional transfer speeds up to 40 Gb/s via its USB Type-C port, as well as the daisy-chaining of up to six devices, bandwidth for 4K UHD displays running at 60 Hz, and USB Power Delivery for high-power charging of up to 36W.
High quality audio is delivered via SupremeFX, which provides a 115 dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), while Sonic Radar II displays an overlay that shows what opponents and teammates are up to on the battlefield. Network connectivity is achieved using the Intel I218-V Gigabit LAN port or 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi and 3-way SLI or CrossFire for multi-GPU use is also supported. The Republic of Gamers Strix X99 Gaming LGA 2011-v3 ATX Motherboard is protected by a limited 3-year warranty.
ASUS' OC Socket uses extra pins to tap into even more overclocking power
Provides users with controls for one-click overclocking and cooling
Fan Xpert 4
Provides users with cooling and fan controls and is also able to detect PWM/DC fans on all headers, use high-amperage fans, and control water-cooling pumps in both software and ASUS' UEFI BIOS
Ten LED effects can be customized using ASUS Aura, a lighting control software for the built-in RGB LEDs and attached RGB strips (via the integrated 4-pin RGB strip header), allowing easy custom illumination that can be synchronized across the system or even the whole gaming desk with additional RGB strips. Included decals allow you to color-match the lighting effects in order to achieve a variety of effects
This strengthened PCIe slot uses an insert-molding process to bind the slot to fortifying metal for a greater 1.6x retention and 1.8x shearing resistance
The Republic of Gamers Strix X99 Gaming motherboard supports ThunderboltEX 3, an Intel-certified Thunderbolt 3 card that enables bi-directional transfer speeds up to 40 Gb/s, which is also able to support video bandwidths up to 4K UHD @ 60 Hz. Thunderbolt 3 also supports the daisy-chaining of up to six devices and has a reversible USB Type-C connector for compatibility with USB 3.1 Type-C devices. It also supports the USB Power Delivery specification for fast, high-powered charging of up to 36W
