    Sennheiser HD 280 Pro reviews

HD 280 Pro Circumaural Closed-Back Monitor Headphones is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Survived Harvey flooding! Awesome sound! Ok, who would guess that a set of headphones could survive being submerged underwater as a result of flooding? In this case, courtesy of Hurricane Harvey. Yes, I pulled this set from under water, where it had been for at least eight hours after the recent flood we experienced here in Houston. Dried the set out and they work just like new! Awesome sound by the way, but you don't need to drench them in water to get that. Just keep 'em dry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product...lacking highs I purchased this product after having used it at a friends studio and loving the durability and comfort. They are really a great pair of cans but if you are considering these for mixing music they may not be the best choice. While they handle lows and mids very well (it seems mids are punched out just a bit too much) they do not dominate in clarity on the highs. However, I use these mostly for video editing and monitoring and love them dearly. Great buy for anyone looking for a pair of reliable monitoring phones!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have bought the HD 280 several times for me and co-workers We use this product while recording in the field. Great sound and durability. Especially like it's ability to determine track sound from nat sound.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cans for field video. Not so great for smaller heads. Bought for monitoring speech in field videography as primary use. Sound is excellent with crisp highs that don't pierce, warm lows and a slight emphasis on the mid-range. Comfortable to wear for long periods but are not ideal for small heads. Where the band meets the adjustment part is very wide for smaller heads. I also have the HD8 DJ Headphones (B&H # SEHD8DJ) which fit much more comfortable on my smaller melon. The head padding is plush and appears to be replaceable although it seems a bit flimsy by way of attachment method.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great noise isolation, very good sound quality, good price! I'm very sensitive to background noise, especially talking, and these headphones are amazingly good at reducing noise! I can work now even in the middle of a busy airport even without plugging them to anything! The sound quality is very good, with no emphasis on extremes like many other options in the price range. Great for acoustic music and singing. I really enjoy them. The build is fine. It feels robust, although the set is rather large, even when folded.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just returned these, despite being industry standard I am a filmmaker who was looking for a pair of headphones to use in the field and in my editing studio. These headphones squeeze my temples and make my head ache enough that I have needed to return them after only using them twice. Comfort is paramount when I have to wear headphones for hours, and even trying to stretch these out would only result in a minor decrease in the pressure.
