With a 30mm clear aperture and fully multi-coated optics, the Meade Instruments 2x Barlow Lens is engineered to effectively double the magnification of any eyepiece without sacrificing image brightness, field of view, or eye relief, or introducing distortion or color fringing. The 2" barrel and eyepiece holder accept larger eyepieces and accessories to further improve brightness and field of view, and to cover today's larger imaging sensors for astrophotography. An included reducer adapter allows the use of the smaller and more common 1.25" eyepieces and accessories.
