A very simple, yet awesome device! You don't need any other Gripper series gear to use this, just a battery with a d-tap output. The adapter easily, yet firmly, attaches to a 15mm rail and gives you 4 additional d-tap outputs when you need to power a monitor, camera, audio gear, whatever!! It works, 'nuff said.

The Watson Pro D-Tap 1x4 Splitter Cable uses
18 AWG wire, that is good for a total of about 5 amps So if your source is 12 Volts the max you should connect is a total of 60W. IF your source is 5 Volts, 25 watts is your max load
