Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value Works well to backup my home cordless phone system

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life Saver During the Last Hurricane!! I received this APC backUPS a few weeks ago and had my computer plugged into it. A storm hit just last week and we lost power for a whole week! I plugged my phone into the UPS as well as my computer and I was able to get news updates from our governor about shelters and when it was safe to go outside. I've already bought another for my wife's computer in the den! I highly recommend this to anyone who is under threat of losing power! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed I bought this for my custom built home PC as a means to protect myself from a storm and give myself a few minutes to save whatever work I have done or simply finish whatever i'm doing. Instead what I've gotten is an automatic storm detector and simply a very expensive surge protector, because it trips every time I have a surge and still restarts/shuts down my computer. I bought a UPC, versus a surge protector, SPECIFICALLY SO THAT I COULD HAVE POWER. I have had this product for just about 9 months, and on 5 separate occasions now it has failed to do the one thing I bought it for. The battery works great, if it simply gets unplugged from the wall, but does not turn on if the power is surged by a storm. Not the quality of product I want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid workstation performer Solid battery backup with USB support for software shutdown. I have replaced over 200 battery backups with these units and have not been disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine product, effective, and valued Well designed, practical, effective and a good value. Monitoring s/w could be integrated better, but it does work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent ups I have been using this as a backup power unit on a media cart I use for machine programming and development. I move this around a lot and having both the surge protection and UPS available when connecting to different equipment, some which do not have a power supply available. I can gain extended time when necessary and know my laptop is protected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so far so good I have a i7 3770k in a asus p8zz7 m, (around 5 yrs old) with 3 ssd's inside, a corsair h80i gt, a radeon rx470, and a BenQ SW2700, all connected to it, -power and usb power for the ssd's-. I have it with the generic windows driver because that's the one that windows recognizes. Software works fine. Must of the time it's at a third of the power and when rendering (capture one) goes to half with and estimated 12 min time, I believe it's more than enough for me to save what I'm doing and turn the computer off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mr. I'm using this unit to protect my DVR and receiver because a even a momentary interruption in the power will cause the receiver to reboot which I find a real pain. I purchased this unit because I had an old APC unit in the same place but it finally gave up. I don't know how old the old unit was but I would guess about 20 years old. I've always used APC products when I could get them. I have a different APC backup on my computer. I've never had a problem with APC products and don't expect to with this one.
