APC BE600M1 Reviews

It works as it's supposed to

I have used this model for my computer system and it works fine. I don't need it to run the computer or monitor if the power is out but it keeps the cable modem and router going for a long time. I recently replaced a 6 year old BE600M1 with a new one for the computer and got a new battery for the old one and shifted it to my TV/AVR/Roku. I have been using APC UPSes for years without a problem. The PowerChute software works well too.

Worst product I've ever bought from B&H.

I bought 4 of these a little over a year ago from b&h. From the beginning all of them have had issues where they spontaneously sound an alarm that can not be silenced without turning off the APC or unplugging it. The item is working but they are sounding a loud alarm that cannot be silenced without disrupting power. This includes going off in the middle of the night. This makes it completely unusable for me. I would think twice or maybe even 4 times before buying this specific model. This is not a critique of B&H but more to be aware of this specific model.
