3840 x 2160 UHD Resolution
The ROG Swift PG27AQ gaming monitor has a 27-inch 4K/UHD 3840 x 2160 resolution panel with a pixel density of 163 ppi to provide crisp text and sharp images. The 4K/UHD resolution has four times the pixels of Full HD 1080p displays, providing more detailed images when playing games or watching movies, and larger onscreen desktop space for various work windows.
Enhanced Image Quality
The ROG Swift PG27AQ monitor comes equipped with a 100% sRGB color gamut, 1,000 contrast ratio, and 10-bit color for 1.07 billion distinct hues. The IPS panel provides wide 178-degree viewing angles for minimal distortion and color shift even when being viewed from extreme angles.
This monitor incorporates NVIDIA G-SYNC display technology, which delivers a smooth and fast gaming experience. G-SYNC synchronizes the monitor's refresh rate to the GPU in a GeForce GTX-powered PC, virtually eliminating screen tearing, and minimizing display stutter and input lag.
ASUS-Exclusive GamePlus Hotkey
The ROG Swift PG27AQ gaming monitor features the ASUS-exclusive GamePlus hotkey for in-game enhancements. The crosshair overlay has four different crosshair options to suit the game being played. There's also an onscreen timer that can be positioned on the left of the display to show the elapsed gaming time; while the FPS (frames per second) counter shows how smooth the game is running.
ASUS GameVisual Technology
ASUS GameVisual Technology has six pre-set display modes to optimize visuals for different types of content. This unique feature can be easily accessed through a hotkey or the On Screen Display (OSD) settings menu.
Slim Profile
The ROG Swift PG27AQ's slim profile and super-narrow 6 mm bezel makes it suitable for almost seamless multi-display setups. Additionally, it can also be VESA wall-mounted.
Versatile Connectivity Options
This monitor has a wide selection of connectivity options for native 4K/UHD content support including DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI ports. The ROG Swift PG27AQ also has two USB 3.0 ports to quick-charge mobile devices while gaming; it can also be used as an alternative high-speed signal input port.
Ultra-Low Blue Light Filters
The ROG Swift PG27AQ also comes with the ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light filters to protect you from harmful blue light. Access and selection four different filter settings onscreen through a handy five-way joystick.

The ROG Swift PG27AQ gaming monitor has undergone stringent performance tests and is certified by TÜV Rheinland laboratories, a global provider of technical, safety, and certification services, to be flicker-free and to emit low blue light levels.
Flicker-Free Technology
Flicker-Free technology reduces flicker to provide a comfortable gaming experience. This minimizes instances of eyestrain and other damaging effects.
Ergonomically Designed Stand
The ROG Swift PG27AQ is specially designed for marathon gaming sessions. It has an ergonomically-designed stand with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustment to always find that ideal viewing position.
Stays Cool During Long Gaming Sessions
It employs a custom heatsink to make sure the monitor stays cool during marathon gaming sessions. Cooling is also aided by a Smart Air Venting Design that uses convective currents to generate airflow. This passive setup works entirely without fans, making it completely silent and maintenance-free.

    ASUS PG27AQ reviews

PG27AQ 27" 16:9 Republic of Gamers Swift 4K UHD IPS Monitor is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Functional if you get a different cable As of November 2016, this is one of the 2 options for a 4k G-Sync monitor (and I believe both use the same IPS panel). Build quality feels cheap. The DisplayPort cable that came with it is either non-standard or just defective (screen would randomly lose signal), which caused me to waste tons of time troubleshooting with EVGA. ASUS's tech support is extremely slow (and their eventual response was utterly useless), but luckily a new Accell UltraAV cable fixed my issues - thanks EVGA!! I don't think the included HDMI cable is much better (saw some random drop-outs and glitches but didn't test extensively). The built-in color profiles are OK but I wouldn't say they're great - Racing and sRGB seem like the most accurate. Trying to calibrate the screen using MacOS's built-in calibration tool was impossible, since the display seemed to constantly reset its color profile during the process. Just setting a profile seems to work, but felt glitchy. F.lux worked well - a pleasant surprise. The monitor also has some useless features like LED lighting around the base, and 4 different crosshairs it can display over the center of the screen. Once any of the gaming overlays are enabled (there's also an FPS display and a couple other things I haven't messed with), it's unclear how to remove them, but they eventually went away. I'm sure someone has a use for these things, but they're not implemented in an intuitive way. I'd much rather have a quick way of switching inputs instead of dedicated buttons for switching between gaming color profiles or extra gaming overlays. If you're looking for a 4k monitor with G-Sync, I'd honestly recommend waiting until the next generation (with higher refresh rate) is out. Maybe there will be some other choices with better build quality, better OSD, and functioning cables.
