Focused Cardioid Pickup
The included cardioid condenser cartridge is designed to capture speech with precision by concentrating on the person speaking while minimizing pickup from the sides and rear. As part of the Microflex family, the interchangeable cartridge design also allows users to swap to optional supercardioid or omnidirectional capsules to suit different applications.
Designed for Permanent Installation
The MX412 features a 12-inch gooseneck and includes a preamp for use with the Shure A412B desktop base (available separately). Locking metal and foam ball windscreens are included.
Clean, Accurate Audio Performance
Engineered for professional speech applications, the MX412 offers a wide dynamic range and broad frequency response for natural voice reproduction. Its balanced, transformerless output provides excellent immunity to electromagnetic hum and RF interference over long cable runs, while new RF filtering further improves reliability in demanding environments. A built-in shockmount delivers more than 20 dB of isolation from surface vibration noise, helping keep speech clear and intelligible.
