This unit is small and light, easy to keep in my lighting kit for video interviews or to raise the light level for a location portrait shoot. I keep a small white umbrella and a 5000 lumen LED with it for quick set-ups. The bracket is sturdy and will hold a small umbrella. After a full hour the unit stays cool, and the light is consistent, non-flickering on video--but testing the LED bulb you choose is important. For the price it's very handy to have in my kit. I've only had it for a short time so will update my review if it ever fails over time, but it seems quite durable so far.

These work fantastic--the click is great, I love the adjustability too. I wish that the clamps weren't made of plastic, though--especially if you have a heavy light setup, it's easy to clamp down too tight and start to warp and weaken the plastic. but it definitely gets the job done

    question

I have a number of different brands of soft boxes, etc. for flash. I would like to use my soft boxes with continuous light. Is this the best mount for this purpose?
    Asked by: Elizabeth W.
it mounts via a clap to a 5/8 post if where you want to mount it does not have a 5/8 diameter you will need an adapter. mine needed a 1/4 to 5/8 adapter to mount up. the unbrellas worked well for me . and you have to use either led or cfl lamps as others get to hot.

    question

Will this be safe to use with a 150Watt Equivalent 20W led bulb?
    Asked by: stelios a.
I don't know for certain. I am using a 30W, fan-cooled LED lamp in mine, and it works fine. Reading the Product Highlights for the fixture, it only stipulates that it is For LED and Fluorescent Bulbs with an E26/E27 Edison base. So I would suspect that a 20W LED bulb would be okay.
