The lightweight and armored magnesium-alloy chassis is O-ring sealed and argon filled to be water and fogproof. A helical focus system, with a wide adjustment collar, allows for fast, yet fine focusing even when wearing gloves. The scope has a 1/4"-20 tripod mounting shoe and a tripod collar that rotates to permit the eyepiece to be positioned in the best viewing position. A retractable lens shade helps to reduce glare while keeping snow or rain off the objective lens.

Vortex Razor HD Reviews

Used it on an arizona coues white tail hunt. Helps a lot with identifying IF you have a steady enough tripod!!!! Mines a bit flimsy cause its light as heckl, soooo now infind myself upgrading that. Gets dark on high end, as they all do. The focus is super fine, you'll find yourself moving the focus way more than binos and that makes it easier to get it just right.

Black fitted case (Razor HD 65mm straight)

Mine needed to be restitched as it did not fit well upon receipt. It has since torn in two places at the seam. Nothing a little string and thread couldnt fix. Im sure the case that comes with the scope is sufficient and not a necessary purchase.

The eyepiece unscrews and is easy to remove, but there are no other eyepieces that can be used with this scope (i.e. there's no wide field eyepiece for digiscoping)

question

I just wanted to ask about the new once piece focus ring on the new model? I am a little worried about it as the last model had a course and fine focus and I wanted this primarily for target shooting. Is the new swarovski type focus ring just as good as the old fine focus or should I look for another brand of scope? Thanks.
