Lowepro BP 350 overview

  • 1Description

Designed to go off-road, store and protect your photography gear, tablet, and personal items in this gray and dark green Flipside Trek BP 350 AW Backpack from Lowepro. The BP 350 holds a compact or professional DSLR camera body and 3-4 lenses in a lower compartment that can be easily retrieved through a body-side access point while the bag is being carried. A CradleFit padded suspended pocket protects your 8" tablet in a front zippered compartment that also offers added organizational for smaller items. A top zippered compartment, dual stretch-mesh side pockets, and multiple external attachment carrying points allow for even more storage and carrying options.

Carrying your gear has never been more comfortable thanks to the ActivZone suspension system that includes adjustable shoulder straps, a sternum strap, and a waist strap for even weight distribution. A built-in all weather cover resides in a zippered pocket at the top of the bag and can be utilized when caught in inclement weather, hiking a muddy trail, or to help deter curious fingers from unzipping your gear when you're not looking.

    Lowepro BP 350 reviews

Flipside Trek BP 350 AW Backpack (Gray/Dark Green) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Outdoor Pack I've Owned I've used a Primus, a Trekker 300, and a Flipside 400. This bag bests all of them. The padded compartment perfectly fits my EOS 6D with l-bracket, 16-35 f/4, 24-70 f/4, 70-300L with tripod collar, all with Lee adaptor rings attached. In the top pocket I keep my filters and filter holder. There's still space left over for lunch and some spare layers. The loaded pack feels great on the shoulders with the high-quality straps and belt. Everything on this pack is just well thought out. My full-sized tripod attached easily and securely with the outer straps. All-weather cover is very functional and a pleasant forest green.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just as nice as the beautiful product picture! A fine bag, well-made, good looking and comfortable. Perfect for day hikes when I do not want to carry all my photo gear. Good for large DSLR with a 24-70mm lens and a few filters, etc. I also carry a long lens, 70-200mm, inside. Leaves plenty of room for snacks, water, and light jacket. This is not a negative, but I question why so many straps around the bag? I'm not going to Mt. Everest. Also, the waist belt has a buckle snap that takes a little getting used to. It is secure, but slightly tricky to negotiate the first few times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product )Very comfortable when loaded with gear. The quality is superb as expected from Lowepro. Accessing the back compartment is easy especially when I need to switch between lenses. In term of camera storage, it holds Oly EM1 + 7-14, 12-50, Fish eye, Rokinon 12 + Haida 100 mm filters. the only thing that is missing (I speak for my self) is room for hydration pack. Tripod can be mounted easily on the external straps (I use theManfrotto190go! Aluminum Tripod) or side pockets if using light tripod.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Keep an eye on your waist straps The first time I used this backpack I unbuckled the waist strap while resting. Upon standing back up, I walked a little ways before reaching down to buckle it and the left strap was gone. Tried to retrace where it might have gotten lost but couldn't find it. Any design that allows the straps to fall out that easily is flawed. If I could remove the entire waist strap, including the padded sides it would be better, but not great. But the padded sections are sewn in and not removeable. Emailed Lowepro customer support three different times and never got a reply. I would have even paid for a replacement which I indicated in my emails, but apparently service after the sale isn't important. Have always loved Lowepro but will avoid them in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built, but minor complaints. I just got this well-built pack. I've loaded it up to check it out but I haven't actually used it. I've used Lowepro packs before, and so far this one seems to be among the best. Somewhere, it might have been on this site, the owner of some photo backpack, not this one, complained bitterly that the zipper broke while he was walking and his expensive gear fell out onto a sidewalk and broke. He asked the bag maker to refund the cost of the equipment. They refused, of course. One star for you guys, he decided, and I don't blame him. The zippers on the 350 appear strong, and they operate freely. Furthermore -- and this is not so obvious from any of the photos -- this bag has been designed so that even if all its well-made zippers broke at once, your gear would not fall out and onto the ground while you're wearing it. This is an important selling point, even if it isn't mentioned in the overview or the specs. If you're trying to decide between the 350 and, say, the smaller 250, be aware that the 350 (and 450 as well) have a much sturdier waist band than their smaller-volume counterparts. You can see this in the photos if you look carefully. If you've ever backpacked, you know how important it is to be able to shift your pack weight from your shoulders to your hips, for the purpose of reducing fatigue. The 350 and higher models have better waist bands for stronger waist support. A minor complaint: Product photos show that a tripod can be carried on one side or the other of this bag with the feet lodged in an outer pocket. But these pockets do not seem designed to hold a tripod's feet. And besides, with a tripod on one side and nothing on the other, your load will be lopsided. The right place for a tripod foot holder is on the bottom center of the outside of the pack. Maybe Lowepro will add a tripod foot pouch in the next iteration of this pack; I hope so. Meanwhile, I plan to improvise a center tripod pocket for the 350.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great backpack-highly recommend I purchased this backpack to use on an upcoming Honor Flight. It is well constructed and is perfect for carrying my Nikon DSLR and Canon camcorder with a lot of other gear. What I really like is the flexibility due to the fact that the various dividers can be removed and or relocated. I highly recommend this backpack. Additionally, B & H service can't be beat. Recently, I have made several hundred dollars in purchases from B&H, shipping is fast, usually free and there return policy is great. They obviously try very hard to please there customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I have been looking for! I have been looking for a backpack that I could use for day hiking and take with me to Antarctica that was not too large but fitted in my 70-200mm f2.8 Canon lens. I was very pleased when it arrived to be able to fit the lens in (not attached to the camera). There is plenty of space in this bag for gear to fit in and be able to carry some food and some spare layers. My small travel tripod fits on the side perfectly. Looking forward to using this lots in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hiking photo backpack! Super comfortable for all day hikes. Holds my Fuji X-T2 and two extra lenses with room to spare, as well as some fishing gear and food/water for side diversions on my photo hikes.
