Lowepro RL 150 Overview

Wheel your gear around in style in the lightweight, durable black PhotoStream RL 150 Roller from Lowepro. Designed to hold 1-2 professional DSLR camera bodies, and up to 8 different lenses or speedlights, the main compartment features multiple touch-fastening dividers to customize your bag according to your gear. A 15" laptop can be stored in the dedicated hinged compartment that allows for smooth airport security visits. Two stretch-mesh zippered pockets on the underside of the roller's lid allow for organization of small photography or personal items. A side tripod mount allows for external transport of a small or medium sized tripod.

A molded EVA front panel and locking zippers provide additional protection when traveling. Transporting your gear is made easier when the top or side padded grab handles are utilized. An aluminum trolley handle, long-lasting vibration-absorbing wheels, and its 7.3" depth allows for convenient air travel.

Excellent for every airplane except American Airlines CRJ900. It’s handle cause it to be an inch out of its allowed dimension. The first class attendant was such a pain. Other than that this roller is excellent and travels everywhere with me. I was forced to pick up and extra bag so I added the Fastpack250Aw111. So my equipment will be safe on board this trip.

The padding in this bag is very minimal and it doesn't seem up to the level of my other Lowepro bags. I have found it to be an OK bag but I never would have purchased it if I had know that the rebate never would come. They claim I didn't do the rebate right but by the time I was told it was too late. I will never trust Lowepro and Manfrotto again with any rebates. I have 1000's of dollars of their equipment but they have lost me now.

Have used this bag on several trips now. Quality construction, including zippers you can lock together, wheels that roll well. Equipment seems well protected. Compartment spacers have been adequate. A negative is the inside bulges that are present due to the space requirements for the handle and the wheels. Not sure how to get around that but it does significantly limit locations for storing certain items that just can't conform to the space --- like the camera body and lenses, for instance. Thus, equipment configuration possibilities are somewhat limited. You just have to plan to store smaller items, like batteries, filters, wires, etc. in those tighter spots. Glad to have the zippered pouches on inside of bag lid, but they do seem a little tight and could have been built with a little bit more room in them. They are great for instruction manuals, etc. Wonderful for travel, as the bag stores very well in a vehicle with all the rest of luggage. Great as an airline carry-on. Overall, a very good purchase when it was on sale and would do it again. B+H consistent in quality of service delivery.

It does have a hard plastic outside, but to make as much room as possible (airlines are getting more stringent with the size of overhead bags, and this seems to satisfy the more stringent requirements), padding on the top is virtually nonexistant. I ran out of room in this bag faster than I thought. Also ,while zipping up this bag, sometimes the zipper got caught on the padding. The rollers are stable to wobble at least. I have used this and was happy enough to continue using it.

I love using this case to store my items and if I end up needing more gear for an event, everything is all set to go. The downside of this case is that there isn't quite sufficient padding at the bottom of the case when everything is open. The space used for the arms also intrude quite a bit into the space.

Very high quality roller bag, light weight and sturdy. I'm really glad I came across this bag, I feel like I have literally surf the whole internet to find the right bag for shoots and travel. The Lowepro PhotoStream RL 150 Roller is the perfect match where protection, storage, security and portability is important.

The bag doesn't have or come with a lock but when the zippers are pulled together you can put a small lock through the opening.

Yes it is large enough. It will carry a tremendous amount of camera gear mostly determined by your physical strength. The rollers make it manageable.

If your 17" laptop is thicker than 1", then it will not be able to fully fit and close into this case. However, if it is under 1" thick, then it will just barely squeeze in. a 15" or 16" laptop/tablet will fit perfectly with enough room to fully close the velcro flap.

If the height of the camera is above the listed depth, it will not fit as shown in the photos on our website. You would need to lay the camera flat on its back for it to properly fit in this case.

There are two conflicting answers to the question ...

There are two conflicting answers to the question of the length of the extended handle. One is 50 cm which appears to be the handle length. The other is 31.5 overall length with the handle. I am 6' and would have to stoop to reach the handle at 31.5 so that's a deal breaker. Can someone please confirm the length of the handle extended from the top of the case?

Are the wheels roller blade I like wheels (solid rubber/urethane) or are they plastic layers like my old Lowepro. Those wheels fell apart and Lowepro won't fix them even for a fee. Thanjs

It will protect your gear in a heavy downpour for a few minutes. It is not rateds with an IP X rating for water ingress however.,
