The orange, BlackRapid Cross Shot Breathe Camera Strap is designed to be worn across a right or left-handed user's body, draped from one shoulder to the opposing hip. A connected camera can then rest upside-down along the hip so that it can be quickly raised for use. This strap's 1.5" rubber-molded pad grips the shoulder, helping to keep the Cross Shot Breathe in place at all times, eliminating slips and maintaining peace of mind regardless if it is worn over the left or right shoulder. The Cross Shot Breathe's compact form factor is robust enough for heavy loads and spring-loaded bumper locks that can be slid up and down the length of the strap's nylon webbing make it especially easy to limit excess camera movement along the length of the Cross Shot Breathe.

To attach to a camera or a lens, the BlackRapid Cross Shot Breathe Camera Strap features a durable, brass and zinc-alloy CR-3 ConnectR locking carabiner. An included BlackRapid FR-5 FastenR Breathe creates a connection point using a camera or lens's 1/4"-20 tripod mount. The FR-5 FastenR Breathe has a large, integrated D-ring for easy use with BlackRapid straps that utilize a CR-3 ConnectR.

The length of this strap is adjustable from 36.0 to 70.0" and its webbing measures up to 1.0" wide. The Cross Shot Breathe Camera Strap is compatible with the separately-available BlackRapid Bert Breathe Extension Strap which can be used to create an additional 15.0" of length. That extension strap features a male side-release buckle on one end and a female side-release buckle at the other. Taller or larger-framed users who require more length with a Cross Shot Breathe Camera Strap can first separate the male and female ends of the webbing's side-release buckle. A Bert Breathe Extension Strap can then be snapped into the Cross Shot Breathe Camera Strap using the extension strap's male and female side-releases.

When multiple cameras or lenses need to be carried, a separately-available BlackRapid CoupleR Strap allows a BlackRapid Cross Shot-series camera strap to be joined with second camera strap, that is also compatible with a CoupleR, to create a functional double-camera harness.

A nylon pouch is provided for storage and transport, as well as a plastic BlackRapid Lockstar Breathe Carabiner Protector, which is compatible with BlackRapid straps that feature a CR-3 ConnectR locking carabiner. By folding over a CR-3 ConnectR, the Lockstar Breathe prevents unintentional user contact with a CR-3 ConnectR that could cause it to accidentally unlock. Additionally, it helps to block the metal surface of a CR-3 ConnectR from scratching a connected camera or lens.

Cross Shot Breathe Camera Strap (Orange) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cross Shot Breathe Camera Strap I bought the Black Rapid Breathe Camera Strap to replace a Canon strap on my D5 Mk 2 dslr. I wanted something comfortable and to securely hold my camera while being at the ready to use, mostly for landscape photography. As a 5'4 woman, however, I was unable to make adjustments adequate to get the strap to hold the camera at a good just to the hip position. The other problem is that the screw ring that holds the camera must be removed and a foot plate applied every time I wanted to use the tripod. That said, it is very well made, but the shoulder part does not land on my shoulder unless the camera is down by my thigh.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Be Aware I purchased this strap for my D810. I followed all the instructions and securely screwed the strap into the tripod socket at the bottom of the camera. While walking around Copenhagen I heard a loud bang, looked down and saw my beloved D810 with my 24-70mm lens attached to it on the ground. Despite the swiveling Locking Carabiner mechanism, the FastenR piece that screws into the tripod socket became loose causing the camera to fall to the ground. This lead to a $400 repair to replace the front camera housings, battery door, memory card door and realignment of the sensor and autofocus assemblies.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be careful, this strap will leave you down! I've transitioned to cross chest straps recently and felt they were a secure way to carry a full size DSLR and lens safely. That is, until last night. I had just finished a photo shoot and was leaving when my D750 with MB-D16 and 24-120 f4 crashed to the floor. Just from my normal moving around, the screw in the tripod socket had come undone, allowing the camera and lens to hit the floor. It appears that the swivel on the caribiner does not move freely enough to keep the attachment firmly locked into the camera. I'm contacting my insurance company in regards to coverage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do you trust your camera setup with a cheap plastic clip? I bought a BlackRapid Cross Shot Breathe Camera Strap several weeks ago and the cheap plastic clip snapped tonight on the way back to my vehicle sending my precious camera and telephoto lens to the ground. I read negative reviews on the plastic clip and against my better judgement I ordered the strap anyway. If the manufacturer would have spent $0.50 on a decent quality clip instead of $0.02 on cheap plastic maybe this would not have happened. But more importantly, why is there even a clip on this strap anyway? I might be able to salvage the strap by sewing the ends together. I just hope my camera and/or lens isn't ruined.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thumbs uo for the Cross Shot Breathe! Comfortable and versatile. I attached an arca-swiss clamp to the carabiner with the supplied CR-3 and FR-5 by using a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter. Easy to carry my D500/200-500 and quick to use on the strap or remove and put it on a tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent strap for the run and gun I've been shooting events and Street photography on and off for years and looking back, I don't know why I slept on getting a blackrapid for so long. Even the best neck strap had trouble with comfort with larger cameras, and if you put a flash and modifier on it then it becomes incredibly ungainly. This strap solves most of those problems, as not only does the camera hang more comfortably and become incredibly easy to access, it is perfect for cameras with flashes attached, as the flash will hang straight down and be out of the way when moving. The only real downside is that the attach point uses the tripod mount, so you can't have a QR plate on at the same time to quickly land on a tripod. Overall, a fantastic accessory for any serious shooter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Strap I have several straps and I'm finding out that this is the one that I reach for the most. First, it's very comfortable and I like the rubber portion of the strap that sits on the shoulder. It prevents it from slipping all the time. I also like the way I can move the adjusters on the strap to various positions whether I want the camera to sit by my hip or up further towards my chest. The attachment to the camera, as well as the locking mechanism, seems well built and I don't worry about it coming off or the camera falling to the ground. I would recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps your camera out of the way! I hike a lot, and I have a bit of a belly (hopefully not for much longer) and this strap is great! The manufacturer's strap rests the camera right on my belly and in the way of everything. This strap rests the camera out of the way on my hip and keeps it accessible when I need it. I have it attached to a Manfrotto tripod mount and it seems to be very secure. I would recommend this for anyone looking to keep their camera off of their front.
