Sound Devices WM-CONNECT Reviews
SD WM-Connect works like a charm, but way overpriced.
I bought this overpriced Bluetooth connector for my SD633 recorder. I say overpriced, because a typical USB Bluetooth dongle runs under $20. I read online it was normally $49, but actually sold for almost $80. It’s a tiny Bluetooth dongle, and a cheap USB cable. Come on Sound Devices!
This thing is great! What a help!
This arrived the day I really needed it. I didn't have a lot of time to set it up or test it out before getting into the reality-style, run-n-gun production, but I didn't need long! I plugged the USB dongle into my mixer, downloaded the app, and instantly the app detected the dongle and it was immediately working! I changed track names, edited metadata, and monitored my levels without even reading the instructions. I never lost a step. Two other sound guys saw this on my rig and decided to get their own - it sells itself. To be honest, I saw this on another mixer's kit and ordered mine the next day. Great device, and very inexpensive!
