Properly balance heavier observation rigs on telescopes utilizing fork-mounts with Losmandy's DVWS 2.5 lb Counterweight System. The base is compatible with their larger D-series and smaller V-series plates and comes outfitted with a 5" long threaded rod that matches the threads on the 2.5 lb weight's bore-hole, allowing you to precisely balance the load by turning the weight one way, or the other. The longer rod is useful with especially heavy loads, as it provides a greater balancing range.

Excellent low cost solution for my problem of too much backweight. On my C5e with a smaller vixen rail I was not able to balance my scope. This Vixen or Losmandy system solved it easily. I even purchased the 1.5LB counterweight, for more versaltility Highly recommend it!!!
