Key Features
  • Motorized Equatorial Mount
  • 100 lb Total Payload Capacity
  • Precision Dual-Axis Servo Motor
  • Multiple Tracking and Slewing Speeds
Losmandy's G11 Motorized EQ Mount provides users with a powerful platform built to support and move larger optical tube assemblies (OTAs). With a total payload capacity of 100 pounds, the head will comfortably carry 40 pounds of counterweights, leaving a hefty 60-pound capacity for OTAs and accessories. All the hardware is made of stainless steel to handle the weight and resist wear over years of use, while a dual dovetail saddle will accept the common Vixen-series plates and the larger Losmandy D-series plates. A dual-axis DC servo motor is reversible for use in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres and is powered by the included 12 VDC car/vehicle power adapter. Supporting the head and OTA is an adjustable-height aluminum tripod that accommodates a wide variety of users.

Losmandy G11SFT Overview

While this mount configuration does not have full GoTo capabilities, once you polar align the mount and manually navigate to your subject, the controller will track it across the right ascension all night. Your OTA mounts via a Vixen/Losmandy dual dovetail saddle, and an adjustable-height aluminum tripod supports all the gear. Use the included hand controller to move the scope for navigating and to track celestial objects. Since near- and deep-sky objects appear to move at different speeds, the controller features celestial, king, solar, and lunar rate tracking speeds, in addition to multiple slew speeds. An integrated autoguider port adds to the mount's usability.
