A truly fast prime for mirrorless cameras, the black 35mm f/1.2 ED AS UMC CS Lens from Rokinon is designed for APS-C-format Sony E-mount cameras, and provides a 52.5mm equivalent focal length. This lens is characterized by its bright f/1.2 maximum aperture, which allows for extensive control over depth of field and selective focus, and also benefits shooting in difficult lighting conditions. The optical design incorporates one extra-low dispersion element and two aspherical elements in order to minimize both chromatic and spherical aberrations, for increased clarity and sharpness, and individual elements also feature an Ultra Multi-Coating to reduce lens flare and ghosting. The manual focus design affords precise focusing control down to 1.25' and a rounded nine-blade diaphragm also contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

Rokinon 35mm f/1.2 Reviews
Lovely image rendering
Clearly a modern lens design: More pop and dimensionality, particularly noticeable in low contrast lighting than more classic or vintage derived lenses. Crisply sharp wide open, corner to corner, and maintains that high optical quality in resolution and contrast until diffraction limits it at smaller apertures. Minimal distortion and indiscernible chromatic aberration to the 40MP sensor of a Fujifilm X-E5. It's fairly hefty, though a bit smaller than one might expect for f1.2 - 62mm diameter. Smooth, predictable manual focus is easy because it's sharp and brIght. IBIS adds at least 3 stops extra stabilization. Bokeh is fabulously smooth with great transitions and only a subtle hint of soap bubble with specular highlights. If circumstances don’t demand AF, it’s my go to for a normal field of view optic, because of its lovely rendering.
Great Manual Nifty 50 Equivalent for APS-C
If you like manual focus lenses and you are looking for the APS-C equivalent of a classic nifty-fifty, this lens will not disappoint. I absolutely love it, and it has become the walk-around lens that lives on my X-T3. Amazing value for money in my humble opinion. Very sharp, minimal distortion, and good control of CA. It is somewhat heavy and bulky, but for the IQ delivered at this price point, this is a fault I'm willing to forgive.
