It's longer than I normally use, but you've got to have a long cable in the kit for when you're forced to mount a UMC or LCUB at the back of the camera, and you've got to reach all the way to the front for the motors. With this cable you could reach from the back of a Sony Venice to the focus motor on an Angenieux EZ zoom mounted up front. Must have.
