The MVMXPROC5US XPRO Video Monopod+ from Manfrotto is a versatile carbon fiber support equipped with Manfrotto's FLUIDTECH base—a unique monopod foot which allows for fluid pans and tilts normally unachievable on a standard photo monopod.

A handy tool for nearly any videographer or filmmaker, a monopod can often travel places tripods cannot, providing additional stability and supporting heavy equipment when required. The MVMXPROC5US features a 5-section design which, when paired with its carbon fiber construction, results in an easy-to-transport design weighing just 2.2 lb. With a maximum height of 74" and a minimum height of just 23.8", the MVMXPROC5US can be adjusted to suit users of varying heights and for various different tasks.

While the design of a monopod is relatively simple the Manfrotto Monopod+ line utilizes some innovative features which make using the MVMXPROC5US fast and easy. The primary feature of the line is the inclusion of Manfrotto's patented Power-Lock flip locks which snap open and closed to ensure fast operation and a tight, unyielding lock. The D-shaped leg sections have been designed not only to compliment the Power-Locks but also to prevent unwanted twisting between leg sections and increase the stability of the monopod.

The integrated FLUIDTECH base utilizes a "3D" fluid cartridge which facilitates smooth pans and tilts from a single connection point. The cartridge may be locked vertically to isolate movement to only the 360° panning axis, allowing for smooth, level, uninterrupted rotation. While engaging the vertical lock may allow the monopod to stand, it does not support free-standing function and should not be left unattended when not in use.

Additionally, the Monopod+ line also features Manfrotto's standard rubber leg warmer for an improved grip and an adjustable hand strap for extra security. A 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting thread is placed at the top of the monopod in the center of the baseplate, allowing users to either, direct mount a camera or lens, or use an articulating head if required.

MVMXPROC5US Carbon Fiber XPRO Video Monopod+ is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for everybody I used this for VR with the Samsung Gear VR 360 camera, so the weight up top was a few ounces. The piece never stands up exactly straight - it has a constant amount of play, which makes it more susceptible to wind. The feet or not as impressive as other comparable models/brands out there. I bought a replacement by Sirui that was better in all areas except the quick release. The quick release latches/locks to expand the Manfrotto are quite awesome. If you don't require a very solid piece, and lightness and quickness are key, go with this one. Pros: weight release latches Cons: not exactly perpendicular - too much play feet too short - susceptible to falling over when expanded

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointing product like the other review, this product will not even stand up straight. I have a manfroto aluminum with out locking head and that does, I've for small amounts of time to adjust a light quickly walked away and its solid. Given the XPRO had a locking base , bigger feet I was sure this would be a home run I was wrong, it constantly leans, and falls over even with out a head or camera on it, even with only two extensions used. I adjusted it as recommended, did nothing in fact there's no hex screw as the manual says, There's just to much play at the base. The quick locks are also cheaper than the original and twice with only 6 adjust caught and pinched my hand, one bad were I yelled, awkward in the field I was hoping I had a lemon but given other review appears not The lean and wobble is so bad your going to have to steady it constantly and you just won't be successful as the give is so fluid. Be better off hand holding it. Really bummed have to send it back, and don't like twisty of alternatives, Hate to have to buy old model but its better, new one has a real problem

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Monpod I bought this monopod so that I can use my heavier lenses on my camera for video. It's very sturdy, and it can handle the weight of my lenses. It has improved my videography significantly. I definitely recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from expensive but worth it ! light , works smooth , 5 sections give more than enough height, sturdy, like the two thread mounting screw, the fold out feet work great and so does the swivel base

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for dynamic session. It is light, strong, and offers various dynamic options. Very useful for doc projects on the move.
